Thanks to those who are in support of staff effort here. And we appreciate everyone's feedback and ".00003"

A few reponses:

Staff cannot deal with what they are not aware of. But when they become aware of rules being broken, they deal with them. So instead of complaining that one thread is dealt with but not another, and if it matters to you, send a report and it will be reviewed impartially.

"Best and brightest" - doesn't exist - all who post here have equal rights and value. No one is smarter, funnier, and so much more important that they have the right to namecall or abuse another member just because they don't agree with their post.

The member removed today had a rude post removed. He then spazed out, posted abuse, bashed the site, and was removed. So much for the best and the brightest...

"Fun threads"- are a matter of opinion. Many love the word game threads while others call them stupid. Do you really expect word threads, or who's hottest, or religious or political threads, or whatever, not be allowed simply because you do not like them? When there is trouble, everyone points at someone else to blame. No one is forcing you to post in or even read anything you don't like in the forums. There is ample room for all types of threads. So there should be something for everyone and no reason for namecalling. If you don't like a thread, simply stay out of it.

Unfortunately members become so focused on the small picture of just what is going on within their own thread or their own group, that they forget that their "fun" might be rude, insulting, hurtful or offensive to someone else who may not know the history or understand the 'inside' joke there. But, they say... afterall, the group was "just having fun". Try stepping back and viewing the bigger picture once in awhile and you may not be so quick to criticise the 'heavy hand' of the moderators.

We will try to do some surveys in the not too distant future that will give you some input into some things that go on here.
Thanyou for the feedback.

My bringing to your notice that some threads were removed while others stayed was out of my observation here and intended against no one.

I wasnt aware that reporting and complaining about each other is so rampant here and as you have mentioned will use this privilege in future if the need be.

Agreed about one thing rightaway , Abuse or Racist remarks are totally unacceptable.

Fun threads .. i meant ones which intend no harm and are quite unbiased but no idea where they go.

I have liked the website and have been having a great time here is just as true as my observation of things around here.

Good to see your feedback again.
handshake

Dear moderator.

Is there any chance word association, who's the hottest and listing places on the planet could be removed. The general consensus from what i've seen is most people find them irritating to say the least!

I'm being really honest by saying what a lot of people would agree with and i ask you that would it be possible to have rethink on the sensitivity or at least "context" of language on joke threads at least.

If swear words, statement treads, word association, who's the nicest/hotest/most popular/listing the globe and mud slinging are removed there wont be much left on the forums unless people feel they can express themselves even using jokes...as frankly they will be just wondering if if they say anything there account will be frozen or deleted.

I've fallen foul yesterday by posting a thread that was an international dumb insult thread.....and a large amount of people contributed to this all in the spirit it was made.....fun.....there was no racism or insulting anyone.....and sadly the thread wasn't just locked.

I posted a scammer email before and hit the enter key just as i was reading the dont post the email bit, which i thought was ironic!! My fault, i admit it.

I hope you take this in the spirit is is sent, to improve the quality of the site and for the benifit of the staff, and users of the site!!

Thanks for your help, it's appreciated.

I never trust generals!!! They are always tempted to mount a coup. This one you refer to "General Consensus" is one of the most dangerous....never trusted him never will.

I would go so far Robbie as to say that, reading your posts over a period, you would not be a big fan of that General either!!!! Hands off the secret society of Word Associators!!!

Would be nice to be notified about why a particular thread is removed instead of being left wondering WTF.

May I respectfully suggest that a new forum be opened specially for these less than desirable threads. A place where those members who would like to post threads about insults, sex or word association could give full rain to there perversions. This I feel would avoid much of the controversy currently raging.

I would also like to add my thanks for your efforts. cheering cheering cheering

Sadly "less than desirable" is in itself a point of view....one man's perversion is another man's hobby.....a bit like being a Republican in the United States I suppose! laugh

I rather like some Generals that are actually quite friendly:
General Merchandise; General Information; General Services; General Topics; General Revenue; General Atmosphere; General Condition; General Stupidity, etc. etc. hell, I even like General Tire, I can rock an' roll with him...%D ( yes, I know: "groan...")
( I still think these insipid emoticons cheapen the site and would love to have them obliterated. Maybe then people could learn to better express themselves verbally...improve their vocabulary...)
