Well..I guess I am getting the flack I expected. Sorry my honesty is mistaken for ego. The financial component is more to say that despite what I think it baggage, I have the means to carry it.

This is a tough crowd..wish I could delete

"...that despite what I think it baggage, I have the means to carry it."

Not sure what baggage a mid 20s/ 8+, or better with no kids could possibly have, but Im sure you have calculated that already...

Sorry man, sounds like you need to lower your standards a little look at peope for who they are and stop searching for Mrs Goodbar.....she aint out there....if she is I dont think your rich enough or good looking enough for her..peace peace peace

I am a 42 year old, handsome, successful man with 3 young boys 7,5, and 3. Their mom (my ex wife) had a mid life crisis of some sort and left us all. I am semi-retired so I delight in taking care of them. I am not looking for a nanny, or housekeeper (I have one already), I am looking for a soul mate. I am totally honest, totally loyal, supportive, and love to spoil the right woman (read: one that does it in return from time to time)

Here is the rub...and I am expecting some flack over this but I have to be 100% honest. I do not want to be with a woman with children. I know that is hypocritical. To ad to the challenge...I am an 8 or so but I am only attracted to younger (mature please) women who are 8,9+.

I recently found a woman who fit all that and was very interested in me which was interesting because I thought the kid thing would be a huge turnoff. Problem was she failed on the maturity test.

So..the question is......why do I get such little play on websites like this one? I know my photos are weak (I am told very often that I am much better looking than my photos) but...

Is the single dad thing really the deal breaker..do you younger women with no kids just exclude that in your searching??
First off there are many women who want kids whether it be their own or someone elses. There are also those who want theirs and noone elses ( kinda like you) but if you truly expect to find the woman to fit your "categories/ratings" go back to sleep and continue to dream because even if you did find her, you are sure to be doomed because you are only searching the outside.. So, you seem like you love your kids and you are there for them, so say you approach someone who is a 10 and totally model perfect yet she beats the hell out of your kids...Have you found Ms.Right at that point????? I think NOT!!! In order to find what you are looking for you need to step down off your pedestal, kick your "fairy tale" dream in the ass and TRY to broaden your horizon.....I have no kids of my own, however i love them and personally i began dating a man 5 years ago due to his personality. his looks werent the greatest. He has 9 kids and i accepted them all open armed and i have the best relationship with them still (even after our breakup) But when i met "Paul" according to your "ratings" he would have been maybe a 4-5 but his personality and his willingness to accept who he was made him SO much more... I now see his outer appearance as a 11+ so think about it while you are judging others, maybe your 8+ is mistaken..................

It might turn off a Woman when you tell her she's to take care of your 3 Kids, and in the same breath letting he know she's not to have any Kids of her own.
Read this book,"Cheaper by the Dozen",it might change your mind,or at least you'll have a few hiularious hours while you read the Book.

In solidtartans defense, I can understand that you cant help what you are or arent attracted to. Personally, I could never be attracted to someone with a mullet or whose facial hair gave an impression of someone who sold drugs in south america. :)
Im just saying that he should be a bit more openminded. Accepting his kids is key, and so is maturity, but what if she did have a child of her own? That child might add even more joy to his life. What if she wasnt super young, but his own age? That doesnt mean that her spirit isnt youthful.
Good luck solidtartan, I hope that you will be a bit more openminded, for your sake. Otherwise, you have a long search ahead of you.

just because I did not address deeper issues does not mean they are not important. I am only addressingan issue or two. Actually I am curious why this is getting everyone so upset. Have you found Mr. Right?? I think NOT!! LOL

It's going to be difficult at best to find a woman who loves kids (yours) but isn't allowed to have any of her own. confused

But then they say there is someone out there for all of us ... so good luck.
