It’s funny how life goes sometimes. One day you are living the dream with a good job, a home, 2 kids, and a wife. Then unexpectedly it’s all pulled out from under you. You need to start again. You start to re evaluate your whole life. You question if it was all for nothing. Why did you turn your head for that split second and let it all slip away. Will your dream ever be attainable again, or will you even have one? Dating in mid life seems somewhat futile. Are we looking for something to replace what was taken from us, or are we merely settling for what falls at our feet. Is this the right person, do they understand, do they care, and does it even matter?
I suppose that if we could all answer those questions we would ALL live happily ever after. I doubt that any one can ever live up to the expectations that we dream for our own lives. Are we all so brainwashed by what we see on TV, in the media, and in Movies that our whole existence is clouded and convoluted? Every one should look at the big picture and ask themselves does it really matter?

Is it worth it?

Good piece!

Is it really worth it? Complications aside, of course, yes. But those complications make it so much tougher to find a suitable partner.

Damn it's a bummer, but you seem switched on enough to wade through the mire.wine

Yes it matters and yes its worth it.
Ive picked myself up off the ground dusted myself off. Grabed what I could of my life and then taken back what I had lost. Ive fought and scratched for every little thing I have, and I hold on to it once I get it.
Im pretty damn happ with me and with what litle I have, its not much but its mine.
Id like a lady in my life but my life is not based on it. If I die alone Ill still be able to look back and say "yeah...I made a pretty damn good run of it..."
Life it too short to contemplete the what ifs and what could have been. learn to love yourself, figure out what your one finger is, get your ducks in a row and keep scrathing on....its not so damn bad when you look around...peace hug

I will never try to rebuild what was once important in my life. It's not that I wasn't hurt, but I desreved it. And I don't want to go there again. The hurt wasn't all that bad...but I'm too old, now, to start over!!cheers

scold Never to old to find love...may not be the same as you experienced it before, but never to late to find it
