It seem when I mention I have kids that live with me, I loose the freindship. What am I doing wrong?

It would make no difference to me. I never seem to get men who have children contacting me though.

I can only answer for myself, and I would say yes, like the plague.

I guess most of the time the kids live with the woman. So that makes me out of the norm.

I wouldn't shy away because of kids. At my age, you accept the woman-you accept her all.

It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if a man had children at home with him.. (or not at home as the case maybe).. dunno

I suppose it's just the same as SOME men not wanting to be involved with a woman who has children..

People want (and look for) different things.

My ex husband and I were talking about this same subject a while ago..

He was talking about the fact his (latest) new GF doesn't have children.. and how glad he was about that. I asked him if he would want to be involved with a woman that DID have children, and he said No wayyyyy!..

and that's a man who HAS 3 kids (with me)

It surprised me really.. I would have thought that a man who already had children of his own would be more understanding and excepting of a partner with children.. but nooo... haha

I said.. *Hmm well that's bloody GREAT then isn't it.. that's me buggered!* D'oh! haha

BUT... It works both ways doesn't it.. I was ALSO just thinking.. I have a female friend whose children live with their dad.

and SHE tells me she doesn't want to be with anyone who had kids either. dunno

(and that's someone WITH 3 too)
