Oh yes, or he'll say the guy lives with his mother to help him 'manage' his syphillis.
As long as he doesn't say he was one of those 72 year old blokes off the sugar daddies thread last night uh oh!

I am talking beginning though? as you get to know him yeah...of course you are going to want to know...If he is a lazy bum then you are not out of pocket. But if he is just having a set back then who are we to judge instantaniously? you do not know the circumstance. and at the begining I would think it as awkward to ask right away. or even assume right away that he or she for that matter( depending on the peoples choice) is a bum or lazy.
Good point ! thumbs up

However i will want to know there and then if he's a lazy bum or just unlucky. Then we can go joy in the woods!

Ok, you met this man.....you like him, or at least you think you might like him.

Then he says he's broke, skint, potless. no money whatsoever, not even enough to take you out for dinner!!

Now do you take him out because you like him, or dismiss him without a second thought to even find out why?

Or do you ask him out and pay for dinner???

God. i will get flack for this one
Well, firstly dates needn't involve a huge financial outlay. A walk along the coast maybe, a lot of museums and galleries/exhibitions are free nowadays........ I may well (if its a nice day) make a nice picnic up and go to the country??

It all depends on why he is potless..............

If he has lost his job and hasn't yet secured another, perhaps he has an ex-wife and children to support, he could have had an accident and need to be off sick for a while, he works for charity or some other noble cause, his business went down the tubes and he is grappling his way back up....?? Any number of things. And any number of those would be fine.

However, if he was a lardy-arsed, lazy git that just wanted to veg on the sofa all day, drinking beer and watching daytime TV and not expect to have to work, but have the state support him, like the world owes him a living, then.............. errmmm, NO!!!!!

But then, its all about attitude of mind, isn't it? So..... not really about money, hey?cheers

You know what? Who says you can not have an awesome date without money. You do not have to have a date that involves the money issue? You can go for a walk, you can talk you can just enjoy each other's company.
yes....but would it ever go beyond a walk in the woods. Could you fall for him and date him??? Honestly???

I was wondering when someone would offer to cook him a meal.

Yesterday, in a freak accident his building collapsed, crushing some 230 million dollars worth of art, and deverstating his records and needless to say all of his credit cards and wallet were lost, and the local branch of his bank, guess what...it was underneath his apartment!!

I wonder if hes a loser after the insurance payout???

Who's going to take the poor sod out now!!
Yeah! right!! Would you not say that would be the exception rather than the rule???

In my experience MOST guys who're broke when already past age 35 are spongers, lazy arses or they have some other problem much worse than lazyness. I gave 2 the benefit of the doubt and the last one is gonna cost me big big time in asset division (mostly mine) over coming weeks D'oh! D'oh!
