Yes, without a doubt, but not the kind of "missing someone" that comes from heartache. That is far behind me now, which is just an indication of how long it has been since I have truly loved a man. Ahh, but I digress.
I miss my boys (my grown sons), my family, some dear friends, and someone very special from this very site with whom I had connected intellectually and emotionally (to the extent that 2 can truly connect from such a venue), but with whom realization set in....my usual albatross around my neck...distance, lifestyle.
Ahhhh...but life is good, for at the very least, I have a dear friend, and this is a beautiful thing.
If you're reading this.....I'll write soon. Ambassador keeping me very busy, but will be in touch before long.

Sounds like we should be crying over the same bottle of Mythos beer some night, Dakota!
Or, in your neck of the woods, is that Pabst Blue Ribbon???
rolling on the floor laughing
Doesn't Mythos just SOUND so much better? Sort of mythical and ethereal and imaginative?
Here's to you, my friend...cheers

Hmmm...Mythos or Keystone Lite... I always thought Keystone Lite, despite it's exquisitely retched taste, had a mythically resonant name, like some underweight keymaker forging his craft on a stone (or while stoned?).

But I have to admit, Athens, "Mythos" would probably win the imaginative and evocative nod from me (and I have to believe it tastes better!). here's to you

Due to my work and travelling, I miss people constantly. Most of all, my family and grown up kids, and my friends in the UK and Spain. I even miss my ex-husband at times! Fortunately we can still speak to each other in a friendly manner!

It's strange though, I have not really enjoyed my time in Russia, but I know when I return to Spain I will miss my students here and keep in touch with them as I do with many of my students all over the world.
