i've been on the punching bag route...for some strange reason i didn't like the black eyes, split lip, all the bumps & bruises, the pain and oh yeah the crying from being hurt by someone who is supposed to love you. so i'll take honest, loyal, caring, etc. any day over the other type.

Man, Solid, all I can say is that you've clearly been hanging out with the wrong women. I'd say virtually every women I've known valued an honesty, compassion, and loyalty in a guy. In fact, I've met several women here who easily satisfy those criteria.
