A man owed my father for furniture $300.00. My father tried to collect it but was having a hard time catching up with the man. So my father just waited.
The man after about two years came to my father asking to borrow $500.00 to buy a truck, if he paid the three hundred he owed on furniture.
My father said that he would if the truck was good for the loan. So he, my father and I went to see the truck. My father liked the truck, bragged on it and told the man he would loan him the money for the truck.
My father got his ticket book and gave the receipt for three hundred to the man after he paid his old $300.00 furniture bill.
My father continued to brag on the truck and looking at it. The man then asked my father when he was going to give him the $500.00 for the truck.
My father said, "I'm not going to loan you any money for that truck." and started up our truck to go back to the store. The man said, "Mr ----------------, You lied!
My father said,"You lied to get the $300.00 worth of furniture and I lied to get the money back....What's the big deal!."
