Yeah, when I tell some people about it I get strange looks. One of the principals in our district also conducts church services...not certain which religious affiliation he is or even if he's ordained or not...but he thought it pretty strict too.

I could ignore it for the most part, but there were times when it caused some conflict between me & my mom because I'd want to wear slacks to something & she'd beg me to wear a dress...I'd give in for her.
honor thy Mother and father...
just like jesus at the wedding... he did not really want to make the wine, but also could not refuse his mothers respectful request...

So yes we all do things we really do not want to ,but it would be wrong to ignore a request made out of our parents with compassion for others

yes again i will add...

in that moment when job was down...God set him straight... saying Who are you to question you who do not know the winds direction or how many blades of grass or the number of sand...
very profound and still hold that same power today as it did 5000 years ago.

how could one not be offended by the words... it is an accurate account of history not just an opinion.
I know But who would not want to receive them the words with wonder and want to experience God whom they say they believe in co's He is real ... yet they ae offended and don't believe in His word I just don't understand i guess how One can say they Love and Believe in God but be offended By the wonderful Knowledge of Him as He is wonderful....Do you know what I mean????

Well it is only between you and God and when i miss Church even now I often think about it But i have to say there was a conflict i was going trough and I missed church for a while and one day i just had this overpowering need to go to church and i knew God wanted me too can't explain it. and sure enough wasn't that message a message meant for me as he hit everythought I had and question i had right on the nose. He knew what I was thinking about etc. and i really needed that pasters preaching that day it was as if he knew exactly everything that i had been thinking and trying to work out in my mind and thus i was reunited with My Lord and I have gotton all my answers to all the questions in my head that I ask privately to the lord and thoughts that are not even questions all clarrified by God...Really its true ...Can't explain it but God really works miracles for sure...its neat... So i wait for him all the time and He has never let me down for sure...
On the otherhand what's a little disturbing is the amount of people that go up to my parents & tell THEM that they miss me, and not one of them has called to tell me that. Not that I'm expecting that, just a little strange. My mom even commented on it & said she'd wished they would call me & tell me. Oh well.

Think I'm gonna head off & work on some crocheting. Have a good nite everyone.

I went to a catholic church when I was growing up, later I went to a baptist church which was on the corner where I lived as it was close to go, I then went to the mormon church when I married my second husband. Now I do not go to a church as I do not know which one to go to, but I do believe in jesus that he died for our sins and without believing in him we will not be saved.
Hey kitty if you want to go to church , why dont you go check some out for a couple of sundays and see if you cant find one that feeds your soul.conversing

is there a difference between a christian and a believer who has faith? 'cuz i consider myself a believer.
this is what i believe:
One needs only to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior for salvation, John 1:12, 3:16 - John 6:28-29,47, Acts 16:31
One can be certain of his salvation now, and it cannot be lost because eternal life is forever. I John 5:13, John 10:28-29, Titus 1:2.

Yes, that is what I am asking as well. i believe there is no difference between a christian and a catholic or denominations or non dinominational churches as we all believe the same thing. we are all believers of Jesus Christ and salvation through Christ and the promises of heaven as all who Believe in Him are saved...and we all do...so what is this religious fight really about...??? i don't get why everyone hates religious churches yet they all believe the same thing and God wants us all to unite as brothers and sisters not fight over stupid diferences of manmade rules reagarding God...and God is a God of unity so Christians are the same as they believe the exact same thing... God says to put little differences aside and unite this is the true vitue of Christ not to persecute one another but to unite in love and love has no conditions on it so those who claim they are of love are hypocrates when they persecute other faithes where god is very present inand very much believed there . ....and christians are persected by people who know not the truth regarding what they believe... same as most religious orders....are persecuted...by those who don't really even know them...see what I mean . i am just voiving what I tink you do not have to agree with me if you do not want too!!!handshake

I also believe a Christian is a believer and they have faith. But being Human i think there are many of us that somewhere alone the line hink we may have lost our faith but God knows us and with Him we never loose Him. Jesus Christ , God will never let us go as nothing can separate us from the love of God. This is what I believe. God will never let us be separated from Him. This is the message i believe. is there some difference?
