it rained here all night and is really getting cold now. the storm is supposed to hit us this afternoon and tonight 4-7 inches by morning and 10 in the mountains. Now i want to know what part of West Virginia is not mountains????? haha


Anyway....I love the snow and can't imagine not having it. I just don't like the ice.

Snow... Well, this morning I couldn't even SEE my car, for it was completely covered in snow. I'd say we have about 6 inches at the moment (with more steadily coming down). There is a winter storm warning/advisory for the majority of the day and evening with expected accumulations of 8-12 more inches of the white stuff. Not to mention the blizzard conditions, due to the 35-40 MPH gusts of wind...

I live in a small county here in Missouri. Monday night and tuesday we had an ice storm 1/2 inch of ice power lines down all over the place 100% power outage. some got their power back on in around 8 hours 10%. Trees that are very old look like tooth picks from the weight of the ice breaking the limbs off.
Then friday night and saturday morning 6-8 inches of snow. So you have ice then snow If anyone wants it you are more than welcome to come and get all that you want no one around here will mind if you take it all.
The power is about 50% restored some of the familys (depending how far out in the country you live) will not have power for another week to 10 days.

As long as roads arn't treacherous,I love winter.Sometime the woods behind me are beutiful with the snow clinging to branches.I prefer cold to humid,hot anyday.We are suppose to get hit with that storm coming towards n.e. states.It's starting,but not bad yet.I like helping the neighbor kids make snowmen. Will I ever grow up?Doubt it and hope not
