It's against the rules as I recall, but personally, if it's in fun and no "evil intent" it shouldn't be a problem. Someone did that to me once... I played along~

dunno

I think its a nasty thing to to IMO

People sometimes get enough hassle on the threads without being directly targeted.

I wouldn't DREAM of making a thread ABOUT someone.

would it be such a great site if certain members were allowed to continue to start threads about other members they don't like ?

should we all be able to start these threads up about people we don't like ?

would you enjoy reading people slagging people off every day because of what other members hve started !

The threads to which you are referring, were not because people don't like others. They are just opinions! They were not malicious attacks!

Lets let this go people!

IMO...I think there's no better person than yourself to explain this to everyone on here or have you conveniently forgotten all the threads you've made in the past especially on the uk forums with members names in the topic title confused

How about the thread you made on here with a members name included and also telling her to "p*** off" in the title. Only happened 6 -8 months ago, surely you can't have forgotten already confused

However, if you have forgotten I'm sure the mods will have all the information stored somewhere. That's if you're suffering from some kind of selected amnesia.... Which it looks as if you must be if you have to make a thread asking a question that you should really know the answer too.

Anyway, afraid I can't help you as I've never ever made a thread with another members name in it (unlike some)

cool

I guess everyone should be sensitive about another's sentiments. Not to say i don't weep and wail .. but just that... lets all treat each other and solve issues the way we want someone else to be with us ...

Am on no one's side but my own.. my personal neutral opinion this is !!

IMO......as someone new to the Forum, seeing the threads relating to this post ("Gilly" and "Prince"), it is rather discouraging. As a new member who has been told that the Forum's are a great way to meet new friends, all I am seeing so far is conflict.

Earlier this morning, a member from the Forum sent me a note, welcoming me to the Forums and inviting me to post. I told him that I feel like 'the new kid in school' right now and would most likely post in time. I never thought this would be the thread I first posted to. Perhaps lurking around the boards and a day when the atmosphere isn't so heated would give me a better idea of what this place is like on a 'normal' day? I would love to know that today's posts aren't the norm.

As for my opinion about starting threads about other members....I think it is gossip and will eventually end up with someone getting their feelings hurt, even if it was started to be all in fun, odds are something will get said that gets taken the wrong way.
