It's against the rules as I recall, but personally, if it's in fun and no "evil intent" it shouldn't be a problem. Someone did that to me once... I played along~

ohh and Indy did a good job !! Even Bubbles as far as i remember had a thread similarly and it went well..

I have had this twice and probably thats the nicest thing someone's done for me so far !!

Though i would opine not to use names ... It depends on how its done and how you feel !!

To be honest I think its ok, We cant possibly like everyone on line. I think its fun when people show their didlike without getting too personal. There is a certann member that I just cant get on with, yet the banter is quite refreshing.

IMO......as someone new to the Forum, seeing the threads relating to this post ("Gilly" and "Prince"), it is rather discouraging. As a new member who has been told that the Forum's are a great way to meet new friends, all I am seeing so far is conflict.

Earlier this morning, a member from the Forum sent me a note, welcoming me to the Forums and inviting me to post. I told him that I feel like 'the new kid in school' right now and would most likely post in time. I never thought this would be the thread I first posted to. Perhaps lurking around the boards and a day when the atmosphere isn't so heated would give me a better idea of what this place is like on a 'normal' day? I would love to know that today's posts aren't the norm.

As for my opinion about starting threads about other members....I think it is gossip and will eventually end up with someone getting their feelings hurt, even if it was started to be all in fun, odds are something will get said that gets taken the wrong way.
Normally it is not like this, Arthistorian.

AS for the rest of us, we really do need to let this go, it is water under the bridge.

I do appreciate your threads Gilly, even if I do not contribute most of the time.

To me Gilly is the goto guy here for threads, for often I do not think most of us would post to them as much.

But that is my opinion and it is worth about as much as you paid for it.cheers

would it be such a great site if certain members were allowed to continue to start threads about other members they don't like ?

should we all be able to start these threads up about people we don't like ?

would you enjoy reading people slagging people off every day because of what other members hve started !

I wouldnt want to read a bunch of bit**y posts about anything or anyone. I dont think anyone on here should post bad things about anyone else, it is childish... Its just gossip, I mean, most people on here dont know half of what the other people are about or where they are coming from. I for one am not going to form any personal opinions about anyone on here just because they may not think the exact same as I do on a particular subject. I mean if we get into an argument about one topic, I am not going to dislike them at all, and who knows when it comes to the next thread, we may see things the same. These are just discussions, and no two people will think the same on every topic posted...

So no I dont think posting about other people is a good thing if they are only saying bad things, however if its two friends joking around, then I dont see any harm there, as long as nobody gets out of hand!!

Good thread Gilly!!cheers

Gilly I have to say I'am sorry you got singled out in it.

But i think if you would drop the idea it is just about you and read the opinions.
You will see it is not because people dislike you.
it is mostly due to how its handled.

i think you have valid questions (at times)
i believe some of your post are very funny as intended

i think if you would just open your mind to it you will see
everyone does like you and values your presence here.
they would just like to see more of you in other peoples posts and would like to see less of the Extremely multiple postings.

I think if you were to get more involved with those who live where you have questions about you will truly get honest answers and less sillyness posts in your serious threads...

I mean i have no problem with you personally and think you are very inquisitive and funny also...
but even as much as i do like you i have to be honest and say when i come to the page and it is so full of all those random posts.

It truly is annoying... it looks like you are trying to say HEY TAK IN MY POSTS OR ....HA HA HA go find something of interest to you searching through the pages.....

It does seem to be a bullying of sorts...

the first page is setup to allow the latest posts and the mostposted threads.
i wonder how mant fun threads were placed on back pages noone got to see due to..NOT ONLY YOU but others as well filling up the front page with there own personal dribel...
it is nice to see postings from everyone... it is not so nice to see allt he postings being from only one...

Just think about it...
and again i do like you and it is not an attack just hope you can see that in all that is written on the subject.
Honesty is not always the happy way or even fun....but i think it should be respected when given openly.
