absolute rubbish... its one thing having an unfounded opinion...its a free world, we are entitled to those, but to come out with a baseless pseudo-statistic like that really lets u down with a bang... when I went to University (i am a lawyer) all the students going up to the top of the hall to collect there 1:1 degrees were girls, and whats more, that trend was prominent accross the board from humanities to the sciences...

Women are superior because women are on a higher emotional plane... and are inherently capable of putting others before themselves... commonly evident in the selfless love that is shared between a mother and her child... men are plagued with insecurities, it is why they feel compelled to value themselves on vacuous 'achievments' and go to war with one another over pointless things !

Quiet, old man.

It's a serious question with a very predictable effect - which if you see the original post, I already predicted.

So at any rate, woman are more predictable than men . . .

Or are they?
why are you changing the subject midpoint? You may be book smart, but quite possibly you need to jump into the real world, ask those ladies WHY they forgot whatever it was they forgot, and then maybe you can get an understanding of the women human condition. By simply observing someone, whatever you have observed is just your opinion, getting the tale behind the observation makes it a fact.

I think Ray's simply trying to stimulate debate here by playing devils advocate.

Yes it's a potentially divisive topic, but if handled in a mature manner, it could prove enlightening.

Always a pleasure to witnes a classy, intelligent lady clear the gangways with a salient and well thoght out respone, without resorting to a personal attack!

oh you are a silly boy...PAWS is a man that you can only long to be. you will never in this life time hit his level. The best thing you can do for yourself is to allow Paws to be your mentor...haha but I dont know if he would be willing to take on a loss cause.

'Er . . . I just forgot. Mind elsewhere . . . nowhere . . . wandering . . . '

Probably something like that.

I have observed it with enough frequency to call it ‘the rule.’

I'm sorry, that's missing the point somewhat.

Women are not superior...I would have thought you would have worked this out, having a degree/doctrate and all.

Being able to apply oneself withing the education system doesn't in itself imply intellecual excellence.

Many highly intelligent people have found themselves bored sh*tless while at schools/colleges/universities!

Clearly, men think more, and women feel more.

But both have the propensity to do both very well!!!!!

does real life scare you? interaction with people in the flesh? Your observations do not make anything accurate without having a response of your subjects. You call it " the rule", well, it is not "the" rule, it is "your" rule, due to your lack of experience with anything not bound.

That could cause mental decline . . . I mean 'further' mental decline.

In fact, an average measure of female mental decline will be proportional to the amount of times my picture rating goes down for daring to post this subject ;-)

No, really. I’m doing this to fire every one up. But the opinions I respect the most so far have shed light and not fallen for an obvious trap.

Enjoy the joint - I am sure it will . . . increase the mind's ability to remember.

Edinburgh psychologists have tested 2,500 brothers and sisters, all brought up to have the same high expectations, and given them tests in science, maths, English and mechanical ability. They have discovered that women tend to be better at languages.
... pay close attention to this next paragraph...

By an overwhelming majority, however, the cleverest individuals - and the stupidest - in these tests tend to be the males. The females occupy the middle ground.

I myself have a huge authority problem in academic Philosophy and always have had.

But, on the other hand, for my absolute contempt for all authority, fate may make me an authority myself.

A thinking man would have made it into a poll with various choices. He would have gotten a much more heated response rolling on the floor laughing
