Lmao. Yeah it seems that you can pollute all you want if you buy the carbon credits. It's ok the earth said so. Man are we stupid! How f__KING stupid do they think the masses are? It's all the poors fault, if it weren't for them going to work to make the rich richer we wouldn't be in this position.

Imagine them finding tree stumps under melted glaciers, DUH! That means that a tree grew there once, long before global warning was around. The melting ice flooding the planet is another one, dumb asses ice occupies more space than water. If anything sea levels should drop. My glass doesn't over flow when the ice in it melts.

Since Norway exports a lot of oil...I vote they quit pumping it...hence, no carbon will get into the environment
We'll stop pumping, when your country stop buying...

Think they are calling it a "carbon" tax. Funny thing is, the wealthiest nations are going to get hit the hardest, even though they aren't the worst offenders.
retrospective is it not --- how did they become --so called "Wealthy"-- are they living on a different planet

The planet has been going thru warm and cold cycles for millions of years. Why would it stop doing that all of a sudden?

Man has adapted to his surroundings for thousands of years. We will continue to do so.

Now is now! -- what has happened in the past is still a puzzle-- that we keep adding to and changing--- and if we get it 'wrong"-- hey- whats wrong in caring for this Earth

I'm a semi-environmentalist.....just not a fanatical nut-job about it. Respect the earth, but don't turn it into a God.

Science shows that the earth has periods of hot and cold, so it's not all that much of a puzzle.

The earth will go on...even w/o us on it.

I really don't have a position on this issue. I am all for a clean enviornment. There are scientists on both sides of the issue who claim there is man-caused global warming, and there is no evidence man is causing it.

The only thing I say is it seems to me the people who are screaming the loudest about this need to put their carbon footprint where their mouth is. I have heard Al Gore flies in private jets all the time and drives around in SUV's. I heard robert Kennedy Jr does the same thing. If you believe mankind is causing this, and you drive a car, you do not have the right to preach to anyone else about this issue.

The only person who I have seen who actually does not drive, but rides a bike is Ed Begley Jr. I repsect his work on the issue and his thoughts because he isn't a hypocrite. Credibility counts....

Driving a car, flying in private jets, etc and then you preach about global warming is like a TV evangelist who preaches fidelity is at the same time, sleeping with his secretary while his wife sings in the choir.

There is lots of fat cats making millions out of our fear
which they have created with their scare mongering tactics.

watch as your environmental taxes rise and you wont see it spent on the environment,

watch as all the so called green companies expand,

(try this for one example)

*our friend, the energy saving light bulb*

this light bulb uses less energy but it can cost up to ten times as much to purchase,

what your are not told is if you blow or break one of these bulbs
you best have a mask.

they are full of mercury an you must open all doors and windows to release it,
if you inhale it you can be poisoned

The chemicals burn through your skin and also poison you.

I think we all have to wake up and see global warming for what it is...A Business, just like any other
Yes Companies do make money--- that is how the world works-- it is up to us as this enterprise progresses to keep them - Honest - we are the consumers.

Like with any new technology there are always flaws -- what you are saying is correct -but this Is being worked upon and just like solar panels and replacement of Hydroflurocarbons- these flaws will be solved also.

This somewhat reminds me of what I heard last fall. It takes more energy to build a Honda Prius than it does to make a Hummer. confused

The next one, and I don't have the exact figures, but it takes about 9/10's a gallon of gas to make 1 gallon of ethanol. So where's the gain, really? dunno
