I think that the Anerican people have become content with oithers dictating their lives or are unaware.

I actually understand where you are comiung from and have thought about it in the past. hey, the Roman empire..etc. had been on top in the world and their own greed and corruptness has doomed them. It has been more than democracies but any form, Imperialists, dictators,..etc. In the end, their are only a select few benefiting off the shoulder of the less fortunate.

American history has been since its inception a series of mass killings at home and abroad, from the native Americans who today are treated like wild fauna in nature reserves, to slavery of blacks and others, to continuous killing in Latin America, Asia and Africa,the numerous coups d'états against sovereign governments, even democratic ones.

Millions of Americans have no health care; health and education only for the ones who can afford it, justice for the poor, and justice for the rich.
Lobbying, (see above) is the dictatorship of the rich and powerful over everyone else, is the rule in the US.
No normal citizen can be president if he or she has no financial support of the powerful lobbies.
None of the successive US governments has repented by apologizing to the the black Americans or the Indians, because they are still not considered equals.
You have in almost all cities memorials for the holocaust, but not one for either black or Indians.

You can't call such a system a democracy.

I don't see any point in voteing..They put who they want in there anyway..And to be honest there are none of them that care about the working class people...
I think before people can run for office they should have to live the life of a poor person working and struggling to make it...I don't know of one politition that has ever had to wonder how they were going to get all the bill's paid or how they were going to get food on the table or had to suffer with a toothache because they didn't have the money or insurance to go to the dentist...JMO

HUH? You don't know your history too well do you? Look at Europian history..everything you claim about America has been done in Europe and abroad. Dutch were heavy traders of African slave. Spaniards conquered, raped and killed the indians in South America as well as utilized African slaves.

Your ignorance shows through. There are many many memorials to indians as well as African americans. American indians actually have more rights than any other people in America. Black people are not treated any differently than anyone else. They have as much opportunity as anyone else and there are many many successful black people here. As far as continuous killing in Latin America..

It's a proven fact that if you vote any way BUT republican or democrat, you are giving your vote to the front runner of the previous 2 parties...

I find it interesting that anyone but an American would start a poll like this one. I will not vote on this poll as I believe it not in the best interest of the American people.
