Romancing the Stone

I've been thinking lately about romance. We all know that many women value romance. Men are generally expected to be romantic if they want to be appreciated. Yet, in my own personal experience very few women actually seem to be romantic. So now my curiosity is aroused.

Ladies how would you go about romancing the man you love?

What romantic ideas do you think would impress a man?

Maybe my views on romance are very broad... I use to leave post its and scribble notes one the bathroom mirror with lipstick, make special CD mixes, give lavender massages... I think women are romantic. Its not about a grand gesture.

Spontaneity and surprizes, showing interest, obviously knowing him well enough makes a difference.

These are all romantic gestures that no woman has ever done for me. No grand gesture is required for romance, just little ones to keep the grand feeling going.

Impressive!

What about someone you are just getting to know, how would you show that person that you are romantic?

If you ARE romantic, she will see/feel it from you. (IMO!)

Hmm..Well, your taste in music is a good give-a-way.

Your responses to certain questions or statements in general will show some things.

I think women can tell fairly easily if a guy is romantic or not.

Again..IMHO!

I cannot disagree with that.

I still think that romance should be a two way street, and I was wondering what some women do to be romantic. Since I have seen very little in my personal experience.

My first wife and I, we played together. Wrestling, tickling, pillow fights, we played with the dog. She would do these cute little practical jokes on me, and we'd laugh and laugh. I loved that!

Exactly!

I prefer the friendship side of a relationship. I wish for her to be my best friend.

You sound as if you are on the right track..just may need more time for the right one to come along.

How about it ladies?

Well, I think the key is to find a man who understands that a woman needs some romance sometimes.

And I bet men like to be romanced by a woman sometimes.

But if it's one sided, someone is going be wanting after a while.

A little romance never hurt anyone, I think dunno

Amen!

Or is it .....Awomen?

I can't be sure with all of the sexist dialogue lately.

I think I've had one relationship where the romance was two way. Most other women in my experience, seem to expect romance but do little to show it.

I would have never guessed that you're not romantic.

You're way to creative not to be romantic.
