You make a good point but most people don't know how to put into words how to best describe themselves.I guess it's between what you want to say and what you think they want to hear.

Well I don't actually have anything in my mind that I could say would really appeal to me, I just haven't read anything with the 'wow' factor, simple as that.

As for trust, I haven't been hurt enough to lose it so that's not the issue either.

You're right though, the forums are a good way of getting to know people as long as you take much of it with a pinch of salt!

The simple explanation could be that whatever's being said - regardless of how revealing, clever, or amusing it might be by some lights - isn't appealing to you.

However, a goodly percentage of profiles don't list substantive information about the individual, so there just isn't much to go on with them. If you read a profile that lists largely irrelevant "fluff," then there's no reason I can see why you or anyone would want to know more about them (other than their looks).

If the profile provides substantial information, and you don't find it appealing, then there's no reason to believe you'd want to know more about that particular guy. But at least in that latter case you should have confidence in eliminating them from consideration. (I have confidence in eliminating those who list "fluff," as well.)

I don't really know what anyone could say that would have a "wow" factor, at least for myself. The profiles, are mundane at best, but I think that it is just a little taste of what the person may or may not be like. The forums seem to come to life, but then again, once you get a phone number, and they are nothing like they are in the forums, that kinda stinks as well-unless they are not a phone person. It's really puzzling isn't it?

you can look at the women's profiles & it's ok. it doesn't show up on their "who's viewed me" list becuz you are a woman seeking a man.

it's a great way to get to know each other & make new friends.
