I see no reason to believe there's any fundamental difference in strength between men and women. It seems likely that they have somewhat different strengths, that's all.

I BETTER be willing to do all those things, or else we'd never go anywhere. Heck, I've even fixed a flat tire (put the foam-fill stuff in it) while the guy was standing by the car having a cigarette just contemplating doing it while every minute counts because we're already late. It seems that either I do it, or it doesn't get done, or gets done slowly and improperly. (and no I'm not exaggerating or being too demanding)
Why do I think so? Because if I just shut up and quit entertaining the person, he will NOT entertain me in return. Don't get me wrong, silence can be nice also when you're comfortable with the person, but not ALL the time other than when I've come up with something to talk about. And I should NOT be let near maps, as I'm 50% blonde, and yet I have to do it because the man will either get it wrong (and blame me) or simply fail to do it at all.
And naturally all this leads me to believe that if we found ourselves, say, deep in the countryside, I would be the one to go chop wood, split it, carry it inside, make a fire etc, while he'd still be standing there 30 minutes later looking for an ax or finishing his take-away coffee.
