just a mess....

I had a family gathering ALL DAY today...which I survived and I really enjoy this particular get together every year...I am very close with my family most times...

I don't drink...it is a choice I make..every day...some days it is easier than others...read into that what you will...my family is aware of this...and I would never expect them to curb their activities around my choice...it doesn't bother me...

But tonight...someone actually WAVED it in front of my face...as some big joke..(he was drunk)...then proceeded to gulp down half a bottle...and breath it on me...intentionally...WHAT IS THAT! in less than .3 seconds, half of me wanted to pour it on his head...the other...drink it...

I'm just angry at the situation, myself, and just a general mess right now and needed to let it out...

He's sad.

I gave up drinking and smoking. I always remember that ....

I DON'T WANT TO EVER HAVE TO QUIT AGAIN. (My responsibility.)

That's what keeps me staying ---- stopped.

I'm simply not looking for an excuse to start all over again.

He was drunk, don't let it strike a nerve.....He's passing a social judgement of his, onto you.... Like someone taking a hit off a jiont then blowing the smoke in your face...etc. He malfuntioned not you. Pretty rude, but that's how drunk people get, forget it. Keep dancing to the beat of your own drum.

Where I'm at today, I would look at the person and just grin.

Privately, I would have thoughts going on like, "Go for it.", "Enjoy yourself".

Easily would walk away. It's their experience. Let them see your strength.

There's an old saying, you can count on only two types of people to be totally honest... children and drunks ...


when they show you their truth beleive it. .. so have that drink and then pour another on his head, at least you get to be drunk and honest about how you feel and get it off your chest with the person who confronted you.
