Now i'm not saying whether your theory is right or wrong Detente...it may have crossed my mind HOW you came up with the theory though...

However..my 2 cents...."IF" such a "network" is going on behind the scenes...it stands to reason if the men that are currently "involved" with someone on here, and not messaging other women on the sly...they would have nothing to worry about...right??
Ursilla, it's become more than apparent to me that much is shared behind the scenes...comments made in an off hand way...references to 'read your mail' when discussing a certain 'dodgy' situation...kinda makes sense to think there must be a considerable network goin' on.

The term 'thick as theives' has also been mentioned to me by one man...and a good man at that!laugh

And yes, on your comment as to men having nothing to fear if they're decent, I did indeed say the very same thing in my original post.wine

Well...it seems to be that there are SOME who interpret the thousands or emails (give or take a few hundred), web cam, phone calls etc etc, as actually meaning they are now officially a "couple" (the "meeting" has yet to occur however).....

But as we all know "distance" has a way of making you still feel "single" on those lonely lonely nights...lets just say that after a few drinks...and longing for your new significant other...your conscience goes to "war" with your heart....and before you know it....several emails have gone off to "others" that had you not been "involved", you may have contacted...

Make sense??laugh sticking out tongue

...and I am prepared to be put right here, but there seems to be quite an extensive network going on behind the scenes amongst the women of CS.

Now, I'm not saying ALL...but many.

And this is in no way a criticism...absolutely not!

Because it seems to me that, besides the womans natural instincts to socialise and develop friendships amongst those of her on sex, unlike us males, it has to do with protection also.

Protection from unscrupulous men/players.

Is this so? Right lines perhaps?

And once again, this is in no way a criticism in any way. If my thoughts are correct, it makes complete sense to do what you're doing, and decent men have nothing to fear!
Nope thumbs down I don't belong to any background cliques such as this..

I have seen how some women vote each other down in the photo ratings. Also, I have witnessed bad backstabbing on here between some of the women thumbs down

Also, I have had guys forward me messages containing hateful things about me that have been sent to them by a couple of women on here thumbs down

Oh, this happened to me quite a few months ago as I've been a member here for 2 years now.

I do have a few close friends on here, just no big network thing where we gossip about men.

Well I'm not part of any background cliques either but there are a handful of sweet ladies who I can write to with trust and confidence if I've missed anything, which is often the case because I often go away for long periods.

I would question the behaviour of the guys forwarding messages though, isn't that equally as bad? Does that make you part of a male clique?

I am surprised though that women feel the need to backstab and I'm sorry that you have been the victim of it.

I"ve been on here a couple of years myself....the "network" as I know it has been women who have "connected" as friends...some have even come to visit and stay with me...

Talk about men?...Really.....are these men so sure that is what our conversations are based around....them?laugh

Bits and pieces may come out about some men on here, but i don't think its as "espionage" as the men are making it out to beD'oh!
