I always found getting my parents time and attention was the best gift no matter what was under the tree.
Time is the most valuable thing we have, its something we cannot get back and to give it to another , well ...applause

Having my entire family together at Christmas...We all used to spend the holidays at my grandparents when we were visiting Canada from the US until we moved back home!!!!!!!!!!!

My ex was the romantic kinda guy. Bought me a tyre for my car one year, and a radiator for the lounge when we were getting central heating. Ran in the family my ex mother in law bought me a joint of Pork cos she was coming for dinner boxing day!!

And they say kids don't notice/think about others...
Cold hurts my hands, and after seeing me out there with the kitchen spatula scraping my windows, my son who was only about 7 or 8, got me an ice scraper with a little leather, fleece lined mitt for my hand to stay warm. It made me cry. That was about 20 years ago and I still have the pieces.
