i personaly prefer younger men, bcos i have difficulty seeing myself as my actual age, couldn't imagine dating a grey haired fella, it would make me feel old.... just how i feel....on the other hand i could definately see me with an older fella if he looked like shadow109
I tend to look for younger guys for the same reason, although I do have a limit on how young I'll go. My oldest son is 23 so I've made a rule for myself not to date anyone in his age bracket. I'm leary about going older than my age, but I will if the guy doesn't look it and if he's active. One of the reasons for wanting a younger guy is that they tend to be more active than the guys older than me & I want someone to be active with. I've also still have a healthy sex drive & that's another reason for being careful in how much older I'll go....lol I do know that I don't want to go out with someone who looks old enough to be my dad (happened on one date and a comment from a stranger was made)....haven't had that comment the other way around.

that they think they would have something in common with a woman twice their age? i have been getting emails from guys who are younger than my 40 yr old son!!!!!!! these emails say they would like to be more than "just friends". i take a look at their profiles and see that they are only in their 20's or early 30's. it is obvious to me they are not looking at my profile becuz i stated i would only be interested in someone in my age bracket. i do not feel flattered by these children, some of them give me the creeps. i do not and will not respond to these emails and i have blocked quite a few of them.

if you have any thoughts on this you are welcome to post them, but i just wanted to vent my anger. thank you for listening to me.
I'll be buggered if I know, love!! D'oh! I get them too.... but I have long given up trying to understand this and most other kind of behaviour. Some of it is bizarre to say the least.... !! uh oh! help

We can deliberate until the cows come home and never find the answers...?? I propose we relax and have a nice wee drink... or several? pouring a drink Hic!!

grin

I second that!wine

To what purpose would it serve to reply....or to even get irritated? To me its no different than the men of my age group sending me ridiculous messages...dunno

Though my profile says just here for the forums, ultimately i'm on a dating site...who am i to tell anyone who and what age is appropriate for them to want to date?

I "used" to date the "young chicks", 20+ years younger than I. They wanted my money and the "social status" that went along with the money, and I wanted what they gave so willingly..devil

They made me look good, it was a real ego inflator. Something to think about for those wanting the young kids..rolling on the floor laughing

It doesn't bother me, I appreciate their good taste as they are maturing.

It's the "Golden Oldies" in their 60s and 70s who do my head in when they message me asking for a date cold

I'm afraid the "fire in my furnace" extinguished about 25 years ago uh oh!

That's why I insist on only having younger fit blokes to stoke it up and try and get it blazing again giggle
