What better way to know that you're not supposed to be doing something by having something happen to you...

Ex...I've been debating whether to continue participating in something...ok...Jenny Craig...that's costing me appox. $100 a week to do, or go on my own with the guidelines that I've received during the time that I've been on it.

Well, the answer was shoved in my face today when I came home from the movies to a flooded master bathroom which also means a flooded master bedroom carpet. My insurance deductible is $1,000....so the obvious answer is...goodby Jenny.

D'oh! frustrated frustrated I think I could've come to the decision without being hit upside the head. sigh

So right now I have fans & a dehumidifier running in my room and bathroom and a fan running in the front bath. The company I called will be back tomorrow to move furniture (I'm currently draining my waterbed) so they can pull the carpet back and dry it out & cut away the currently soaked pad. Just wanted I wanted to do on my 2nd week of Christmas break. crying

I think once will be enough for me thank you...lol

My dad reminded me that something similar happened to us in Hawaii, only it was the washing machine that overflowed & my mom was sweeping water out the door.

Those who profit from what society has deemed unworthy have their means of extricating the funds by undermining one's self-esteem. You are fine the way you are and such a program would merely steal money from you that you earn with your time. These programs are not curative dear, merely additional expenses to live with forever...like additional taxes.
Try drinking lots of water. And I do mean lots. We are 70+% water and it requires purification. Remove fast food from your diet at all costs. Most of it is not food anyways and as it never deteriorates will likely be waiting for those in the future who dig up the remains of our decadent society after it's inevitable fall.
Determine the correct caloric intake for your needs and portion them into many many tiny meals throughout the day. You will feel like you are eating all the time but the intake will remain balanced. Use fruit and vegetable scented shampoo and dish soaps to trigger the eating reflex in your mind. During the initial inception of this olfactory inducement the brain immediately begins its countdown for eating and you will feel sated in roughly 15 minutes without having eaten a thing. The many meals will improve your metabolism and remove the chemical and electrical triggers that cause us to retain calories during large meals. A natural defense from our past when food was farther between than now.
You should perceive this flooding as a blessing as it will cost a mere 1000 dollars this year and the loss of Jenny and her mansions and yachts will save you 5200 dollars. Looks like 4200 dollars for a vacation for you sweetheart.
Most importantly just keep a positive attitude and you will succeed. What someone sees in you that they comment negatively upon is the mirror of their inner fears as reflected through your eyes. When they see only your inner happiness they will shyly smile and gain a measure of their own confidence.

Thanks Mark, I've already done some of the calculations for how many grams of protein, carbs & fats I should have. And I think I have a handle now on portion sizes. Already planning to change from ground beef to ground turkey (been there before & it's not so bad). A few other changes here & there as well as ramping up the activity I should be able to do this. It's one of the reasons I need an active man in my life...lol

That's already in the works for next July. I'm booked on a singles cruise to Alaska for a week with 3 ports of call & already have activities planned...zip lining, sea kayaking & a trail ride.
