There is no time barrier for falling in love. Marriage is a legal formation in which it regulates more towards the split-up of a partnership more-so than rectify a couples love. Marriage is also governed by religion in which the rules fluctuate pending on what faith is followed. Sex is a form of reproduction and the natural erge to survive and expand ones species. Wait what was the question??? heheh Man, conditioning really mess-up peoples natural morals and values. Just DO IT...DO IT!!

Hay!! wake up and smell the coffee, what it comes down to is this, attraction of one another. I look and say to myself OH YAAAA, or I say yeckk no way, that comes first. After you see and meet the one you think you want to be with, then comes the real test, how compatible you are in bed. Believe me a woman wants to be satisfied, she doesn't want to clime the mountain, and then fall off. To be honest I believe if two virgins get together, nether one really knows what each others missing. and then again, I have seen virgin couples live there whole Married life and never really no. This I no to be true, a virgin Man cannot satisfy a woman of passion, an experienced woman of passion. It took me years of dating, until I found out how that was done.

A lot of people do sex after marriage and that relationship breaks up too...

Waiting to have sex until married is a personal choice..it does not alter love or control love....love plays by its own rules.

I'd have to have a "sexual test run" with them before I could even THINK of loving/marrying them.

I may possibly understand the idea behind the statement made by sono since I was brought up in a tight laced catholic society were sex before marriage was a strict no no.

Being now in the autumn of my journey I tend to have become a little bit more cautious in my reasoning.

Sexual exploration and experimentint has become part and parcel of growing up in western culture. I don't think that a realtion is based on beign or not beign a virgin. In these times we live in it is more a matter of equality and sharing one's emotioins. Sexual chemistry is very important also, but ultimately, good sex alone does not a couple make.

On the other hand, I don't personally approve of sexual experimentation at too early an age. And the 'age' I refer to is not a number either. I seriously believe that sex is for adults. So if anyone wants to play adult, they must also be responsable enought to carry the responsibility of thier actions.

While respecting the dictates of one's social ethics, I simply refuse to accept the imposition of such silly rules as those imposed on women in particular in countries that still insist on applying the virginity factor to marriage.

i don't think having sex before marriage has anything to do with a relationship breaking up , can't understand why you would think that ? But respect your opinion and that your culture views things differently

Strangely enough this is true to a cultural extent morganlee. The cultures that people are still virgins getting married rarely separate as the same applies to arranged marriages.

Removing an aspect from an Individual culture and comparing it to another is about as meaningful as saying that people who are on CS are likely to be single!

I agree with what you are saying about people that are still virgins getting married rarely seperate the same for arranged marriages. But divorce in these cultures is less accepted and difficult if the woman wants a divorce. And alot of marriages last because the husbands have girlfriends or see prostitutes.

I was not attemptimg to remove an aspect from an individual culture and comparing it, but respecting the Op's opinion because often views on sex issue's are influenced by the teachings , religion and culture of the country you come from. I am sorry if you found my post unmeaningful .

There is absolutely NO WAY I would commit myself to someone without having sex with them first.

I'm older and I see a reason for marriage to have a father for a child and a name.

Other than that, I don't see a point for marriage, at my age. I have no intention of having, or raising children. I prefer to be independent.

I will only stay with a man as long as he treats me well. Marriage is like selling oneself into slavery.

I want to be able to leave, if I'm treated badly. My daughter is getting married and I find I disagree with the whole concept. I think she should stay with him, as long as she wants, on her terms.

Marriage made women property in a time when they only had rights, bestowed by fathers. My father always told me I could take care of myself. He raised me to be strong and independent. He was disappointed when I got married. I find I'm disappointed that my daughter is getting married.

I would rather she live with a guy, keep her independence, freedom, name and power. If she wants a kid, fine. Draw up a contract for a parental partnership, plan it and stay a free agent.

If I could do it over, I would NEVER get married. My ex sister-in-law has had 3 long-term relationships, dealt with legal issues through lawyers and always maintained her independence. Her current relationship is going on 20 years. That's love, honor, respect and willingness.

I'd rather have a man who wants to be with me, because it's his choice, everyday.
