Of course it can but you must be very cautious of doing so as it is viewed as the means and methods of spammers. CS points this out and it may put people off of you. You should never under any circumstances post this in forum as it will assuredly garner you unwanted attention. But once you are comfortable with someone it is a natural manner of connection beyond the usual here.
Feel the person out first and if they accept by all means, as all avenues should be explored in communication here.

I use one totally bogus and evasive email address solely for date sites. The name included in the i.d. has absolutely no relationship to me or my real name... when I email or IM on YM people wonder who in the hell "demetrius" is...... When it gets to full of junk I'll create another and notify anyone who I want to know a new address. One old yahoo address I had for business gets over 1,000 emails per day and I haven't used it in over a year.

I always correspond with some one on cs before giving name and email address. If they do not want to correspond, there is some thing wrong.There are some fruit cakes. I would verify it with a long time females on cs. They are great sources! There are some great girls here that can help you.
