I have no idea, but my guess would be the elephant. I know cows are sacred in certain countries. My guess is thisis a trick question.

the probable anser will be both, because its wrong to kill, but to me the ant is a pest in my garden, and elephants are truly magnificent creatures

both have the same worth....being bigger, smarter, or more beautiful doesnt change the worth, just makes them unique in their own way.

The killing of an Arhant (a saint) is more sinful than the killing of a less worthy being. Buddhists would assert that killing an elephant is a bigger sin (bad karma) than killing an ant.

and I really love this questons, so I will add on to it, Would it be a bigger sin to kill the ant to protect the Elephant? or would it be the other way around, to kill an Elephant to save the ant?? which decision would be more or less a sin???
;-}

Well I dont want to shock you but many moral philosophers would not agree with you - we are not all of equal worth - Rawls - the greatest political philosopher on justice of the 20 century agrues over the moral sit of who to save in situations where all cannot be saved and argues that some should be saved before others because the worth in society is greater for instance if one had to chose between the unborn child and the mother and both cannot be saved then it is argued that the mother is saved becuase her worth is greater and more lives depend on her ...or in a situation where all humanity were to die except for a few then more woman would have to be saved in order to repop the world lately I was reading an article in the spectator that stated that from official statistics in hospitals in Britian and the USA more women are saved than men in ICU -- and it was argued that the reason for this is that more resources are invested in saving woman of a certain age because they are more needed ..in the family for procreation etc.........

These are not my ideas......and I AM NOT ANTI MALE LOL... I am just quoting received information I dont know what you gys think of it ??? would be interesting to hear your views peace
