A lot of great ones named and perhaps he wasn't the best of the bunch, but I can't help but think of George Harrison and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

Jimi Hendrix!!!!!!!!

Think Eric Clapton played lead guitar on "while my guitar gently weeps" if I'm not mistaken.

I think Rory Gallagher should be up there with the best of them, also I like the Edge I think he has a very distinctive sound.

I saw the last show that Randy Rhodes played with Ozzie in Knoxville, Tn. The plane crashed the next day. My vote has to go him, cause it was amazing what I witnessed that night!peace

Great song but the solo and lead guitar was Eric Clapton.

Eddie is a great guitarist on acoustic and electric guitar and also Lindsey Buckingham and Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac are shit hot.

I also thought of him and Leona Boyd, and several others , but Classical and Jazz guitarist , obviously aren't into Rock N Roll...which also leaves out several great "Rock-A_billy" players from the 50's and 60's, especially those that were the lead guitarists for the recording sessions at Sun Records. Good music, fantastic players all. %)

Have you heard born on the wrong side off time when he was with taste. Mind blowing a legend that died to young great to hear you from you again . That battered guitar was fitted to his body . You have taste.
