I think the making a fool out of ones self and some one knowing it and being rejected are things that some find hard to chance. A person can fight tigers and at the same time find it hard to let the contents of their heart out for public view. Knowing someone cares back will open doors for them.
From both observations and even a few personal situations, it is far easier on one's spirit and character to make a fool of one's self in public AFTER one knows that their "special someone" does care for them; the level of joy, that reeling ecstasy of being cared for; of being actually loved by that person knows no bounds to celebrate it. Absolutely nothing will matter if others may think you a fool,(usually it's envy!), you are King and can do no wrong, no matter how silly ..it is positively euphoric...and no drug can ever compete with that!! %D
