Some are a little insecure about it all...I've been told not to open the doors for her on more than a couple of accassions.drinking

But generally, good old fashioned chivalry is what we need more of.cheers

Equal rights simply means that we dont want to spend the rest of our lives chained to kitchen sinks and thought of as unable to use our minds - ok, we may not all have the physical abilities to do some of the stuff that men can, thats no problem - we have leverage and machines these days laugh

Chivalry is amazing - when it isnt being used to promote a false impression, when it is a true measure or a man - wow - nothing better blushing

I don't think chivalry has anything to do with equal rights...It's called manners and should be practiced by both men and women!!!!!!

I did a blog on this just a few days ago.

No, I don't get the impression at all that hard core feminists appreciate chivalry or anything old-fashioned whatsoever.

But then, I'm most definitely not a feminist so I can't speak for them.

I think good old fashioned chivalry is great and welcome it with open arms.

We are in the age of equality, despite all that may have changed in the modern days, there is still something charming about impeccable manners and etiquette of resqueing damsels from distress.

I'm pretty much into feminism but I love chivalry and manners in a man - but only if done with sincerity - I see through insincerity from a mile off nowadays - I hope laugh uh oh!

Nope. My dad was elbowed in the chest once for holding the door open for a lady and was going to let her walk through ahead of him. "I can do that myself", I believe her comment was. She was furious about it.

I am not a hard core feminist. I appreciate equal rights, but I do appreciate and look for good old fashion chilvary. I like having a guy open my car door for me or holding a door for me when entering a place. It makes me feel special.

Chivlary.. I'm not sure that it needs to viewed exclusively as such.. good manners, in my estimation should apply to everyone, I open the door and hold the door for any person who happens to be behind me male or female.. the alternative is to let the door swing back in their face..

I love a guy who has manners though it is very attractive and shows a gentle considerate side to their character.. smitten

MOST OF THE PEOPLE SPECIALLY TALKING ABOUT THEIR RIGHT.BUT IF THEY CAN THINK ABOUT THEIR RESPONCIBILITIES FULL FILL THEM CORRECTLY NO NEED TO TALK ABOUT EQUAL RIGHTS. AND BEFORE ASKING ABOUT EQUAL RIGHTS ..I THINK BETTER to consider about responsibilities. for ''rights'' we always give much attention...but when it comes to ''responsibilities'' we do skip or escape... laugh cheers

There's no one story to tell really and as much as I like some of the conversation here, I'm not one that is going to be an open book to the entire world. Anyone who wants to know about me can find out by asking me in what I believe is the proper manner. I know this may sound rude or like an overreaction to some. If I have offended anyone I apologize, it's not the intention of the post, merely how I feel.
