At the end of your life would you be more likely to regret something you did or regret smoething you didn't do?

Most probably it would be a mixture of both, as there things which shouldn't have been said or done and vice-versa.

Well,I will say it just like Old Blue-Eyes in his Song.

I did it my Way

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,
Ill state my case, of which Im certain.

Ive lived a life thats full.
Ive traveled each and evry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried.
Ive had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

Been close a few times,but there must be still something left to do for me heredunno smile wave

At the end of my life, the thing I am most likely to regret is that my life is at an end.

Your question is a paradox of sorts. Admittedly, there will be those who will regret things they have done, but most - if honest with themselves - will regret those things that they have NOT done and will not be able to do because their life is ending. (I,e, I wish I could have seen my grandchildren grow up, I would liked to have seen one more sunrise in the Rockies... etc.) Very few are ready to leave this life unless it has been one of pain and suffering. Even then, the regret - whether voiced or not - will be of something not done, even if it is only that simple wish to have led a less pain-filled life.

thumbs up

blushing i missed the end of life part .

hmm.. If i have learnt , forgiven and improvised on what i did ( if that is something to regret about ) i will not regret.

The things i didnt do ,

If i didnt say or show enough to the people i care about that i really do ..

If i havent stood by my friends and loved ones when they needed me the most..

If i didnt tell the person i fell in love with that i would give up all to fall in love with him again and do anything to see him happy.

If i havent served any purpose for having this life, the comforts and love bestowed ...

yes !! I would definitely regret !!!

Got shot back in '97,and as I lay there on the Floor in the Office,presumably dying,there was strangely no Fears,no Regrets,just a quiet Acceptance:If it happens,yeah well,so be it.Also felt immensely peaceful.

If the Ambulance hadn't arrived as quick as it did,I would have most likely bled to death.
My Number just wasnt called on that day.

I believe that we all will have regrets in some shape, way or form. I don't know too many people who don't say, "I wish I could do that over, I'd do it differently." The best we can do is learn from our mistakes and move on.

Without being neurotic about it, I do try to do things "better" as the sand drops through the hour glass.

I think it would be a mix of both for me..

Though I try to live without regrets now.. that's why I will try /see and do as much as I can.

I don't want to sit in an old folks home one day thinking.. *Daaamn! I never did know what that was like*

I don't have many regrets now of what I HAVE done.. not many that I haven't already tried to put right anyway..

a la *My name is Earl* laugh
