I'll second that.
I don't initiate mail, messages, etc.. with men. A lot of women feel more comfortable if the man is the first to make the move.

And a few tips, when you do write to them...
Talk about something. Don't just send "Hi there. Wanna chat?"
Tell them that you read their profile and point out specific things in it that appealed to you. If you've seen their posts on the forums, comment on what drew your attention to their words.
Put some substance in your initial mail to them.

But don't just sit and wait for the women to flock to you.

Well for starters probably less than one percent of the female population of Nashville is on this sight, so don't limit yourself to meeting someone here.

You might want to think of expanding your age limit, why is it so important that you have a woman younger then you are? Some of us old broads are active, lively, intelligent... and definatly not going to respond to someone who has an age limit younger then they are.

and I agree with the other ladies, try being the one to initiate the conversation.

I read your profile.

You seem to know what you are looking for.

But in stating an age range or saying that you want children in your written description, you may limit who replies.

Maybe less is more...don't "over engineer" it laugh

Hey Billwave

Don't just limit love to the convience of a 10 min drive...

Come on forums , and let people get to know the real you.
if you just sit in emails and have no background it will be mostlikely fruitless.

i did the search and email thing a year ago and never had any luck...
which was a good thing, just bobbing for apples with your eyes closed there is a chance that you will slip and drown (metaphoricly speaking)

I came here and decided i just wanted friends and nothing more... i never searched i came into forums and started relaxing and having fun meeting all the wonderful people here...

And from out of me having a good time and being myself... we came together.
and we have sen good and bad...but we are still together and deeply in love.
could not ask for a better life partner.

And get this... she live 1047.8 miles door to door from me.
Just be open and be honest if it is real it will not ever change.
and who knows you may find the ONE lives right down the street in your neighborhood.thumbs up
