For as long as i can remember I have been smeared with some kind of adventure streak. As a child my Grandmother would scold me for performing stunts on my bicycle. She caught me once attempting to jump my bicycle from the back porch, I was about seven years old. She says I looked at her and said, "If Evel Kenivel can do it then so can I!"

Tell us about some of your dauntless, or venturesome moments.

The year after I graduated from High School, I went to school a town over. I checked in at the office, told them my parents were working, and they told me to go to school. I went to classes, pulled my chair up next to pretty girls, and shared their books with them. It was kind of fun.

What kinds of bold, or reckless acts things have you done?

Looking back, I don't know if I would call it daring. More like stupidity....I used to street race. I owned a very powerful Iroc-Z Camaro, with a built engine and a performance chip. Only lost one race in my time, but this guy had an extremely suped up car. Much more powerful of a car than I should have owned at that age (19).

Now, I think, "What if someone had crossed the street?" or "What if a car turned out in front of us?".

Daring, yes. Stupidity, yes. Fun and exhilirating? Oh Yeah.

At 36 or 37 there ws a fair in town. There was a bear and you could get your pic taken handing him a peace of candy. So I sat down and before the camera flashed he grabbed at my thigh.I was wearing nice slacks and I pushed at him.He bit my thigh, not bad,bu I insisted we try for another pic when he setled down.Forgot to be afraid.

I had an '80 Camaro in High School, suped up a little nothing major. I have never been comfortable in a 4 or 6 cylinder. I was spoiled. I'm sure you know what I mean Dark1

I do! I miss having an 8 cylinder. Though, I don't miss not getting around in the snow and the cost to fill my tank up. It was a gas hog with that engine. BUT I fell in love with that car on sight and I just got old enough to buy it without parental help, lol. Luckily, mom fell in love with the car too. She nicknamed her "Christine" after the Stephen King novel, just because the sheer power of the engine scared her.

I probably would have never guessed that.

I hitch hiked from Shreveport, La to Las Vegas, Nv when I was twenty years old....chasing after a girl I had a crush on. I lived there for three years.

I jumped off a bridge into a bayou.

I swam to an island in a lake...it was alot harder than I thought, almost didn't make it back.

When I was a kid I would climb anything. Plus, I got my butt whooped I don't know how many times because I would run off exploring, I had no fear of getting lost or abducted or anything.

I raced midgets on the dirt for years. Started out in the midwest, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, West By God, Il., Pa.

In my craziness, I took a little break and moved out west. Started in again and ran tracks in Ca, OR, WA, ID, CO, NV, and AZ. Was 5 times Ca state champ and one western states championship. I had the chance for an Indy Car ride but my stupidity took that one away. I retired in 1990 after flipping during practice at the Nationals. In his last year, the "Old Man" was #8 in points in the nation, not to shabby for an old fart. I finally accepted the fact that I could no longer compete with the 18, 19 & 20 year old kids, my bones broke more easily and they sure as hell did not heal quickly.

It was a great life, I have made a lot of wrong choices, yet I have no regrets..

wink

When I was a kid my brothers and I would jump off roofs alot. It started by playing hide and seek. My brother hid on the roof of a schoolhouse, and I climbed up after him, certain that I had him cornered. He just ran, and jumped off. Of course, I couldn't be outdone by my younger brother, so I chased him right over the edge, much to the dismay of Step-mom. She couldn't use the old, "just because your brother does it doesn't mean you have to...If your brother jumped off a building, would you do it?" Well, as a matter of fact step-mom.......

I was backpacking in Papua New Guinea, taking a bus up to the Highlands and got into a conversation with a young man who had been in Australia going to school. He started telling me about the village he lived in out in the jungle, I expressed an interest and next thing I knew I was getting off the bus with him and hiking 8 kilometers into the jungle to meet his family and friends. I wound up staying for 2 weeks on a bamboo shelf up in the trees. Amazing experience and it turned out well, but it could have been soooo different!

I have tried lots of stuff, skydiving, bungee jumping, ab-sailing (from highest ab-sailing cliff in Africa) all the normal stuff.

I get the biggest kick out of motor racing. Love to race my Subaru or Toyota Corolla (fitted with turbo - almost 400 hp), not the illegal stuff though. Other than that life is pretty ordinary...

Dumped the love of my life for my friends. I don't talk to them now and he hasn't talked to me since.

I told my best guy friend (known each other 8 years) that I loved him, as in not like a bff but really loved him. We haven't talked since.

I traveled to another state to see someone who I am not sure has feelings for me. I still don't know.

I packed up and moved to a different state b/c I needed a change in my life. It was a great decision and full of wonderful life lessons.

I joined an online dating site with no real clue in mind as to what I am looking for. Yeah still don't know.

Rode around Morocco on a bmw600...far bigger bike than me and I only had my licence for six months...Only stacked it once and broke an ankle...Hickhiked around Australia when I was only 14 years old for three years...had to lie and say I was 19 to work in a bar so I wouldn't starve.
