seems a few people are having a hard time on the forum lately, thought we could all share some tips and ideas on keeping sane and not letting ourselves get too down!

Exercise is always good.... Run to the supermarket and buy a bottle of Vodka...

grin

Just joking but really the last thing you would want to do is exercise when you are down but it does help... its the breathing, the focusing, chemical changes in your body...etc the fitness stuff is just a bonus...

Take long walks or gym - helps u take your mind off quite some things and also release endorphins.

Keep a collection of movies - comedy and anything that's funny and amusing.

Avoid reading newspapers, watching news bulettins and current affairs programmes - reality is negativity.

Planning a holiday? Go to a kids'park say Disneyland or anything of the sort - it's healthy to relive childhood but only if you're not one of those addicted with what i do call "Peter Pan Syndrome", that is fear of growth and its' responsabilities.

Whichever one's choices, I think it's best keeping away from the forums if you feel there are threads that you see as a threat. I've noticed quite an increase in sarcasm over the posts. After quite some time posting and reading here today was my first time I saw a thread degenerate so badly that the moderator had to lock it and stop further chaos being posted over.

I have a soak in the tub,
...very,very hot water, with some of the most beautiful smelling oils, burning candles, lights out.
.....And I cry,and I cry out loud.
Then I take deep breaths,and I breath,
...I wash up,
have a shower to rinse off,
...to were I brush my teeth and oil my skin with perfumed lotion, inhailing all the scents that are around me.
Reflect in the mirror as I talk out loud...stretch,and roll my head...place my hand on the door handle, leaving all my troubles behind....:)

i try to focus on good memories.

even though life has been sad and tough at times..
it has also been Happy and uplifting...

It is hard to stay down for long when i look back at the birth of my children, and remeber little moments and sayings they have had as they grew
