and i guess msn is called windows live msgr
but it still comes from msn site..

its also nice and small on my hard drive

skype works on well with my pc. I have tried it before, Talked to a friend live with cam and mic.. clearer and faster than Yahoo and msn

It's a Voice Over Internet Program (voip) and although they do have an IM feature I ilke it for the ability to make long distance calls for free from computer to computer or very cheap calls from computer to either a cell/mobile or a land line. I've been using it for almost a year now and wish I would have discovered it eons ago.
There are a few people I talk to using Skype that live overseas and inside North America and the long distance charges would kill me without this feature. Some of us have spent hours at a time yakking away.

I find the cam works better in msn though.
I've been having problems with it in skype lately.
