Sometimes the people we get to know are truly fascinating smitten

while someother times they make you wonder " Didnt i mention like mindedness and sane behaviour are a criterion."

mumbling

So people , How much of a risk are you willing to take in a prospective or ongoing relationship ?

I'm not sure how to measure how much risk I'm taking, but I know I'm way out of my box these days. I tend to stick a foot back in once and in a while for security reasons...but I have tore down many of my walls and am opening up...I'm a rather risky person in general, this love and relationships gets to me tho, tends to tame me down a degree or two...

There's risk in everything, including walking your doggie across the street. I don't mind taking chances if I think the outcome is worth the effort.wink

When you believe you take a risk so also when you love ..

But we all have a certain " i wont do " or " this is not possible " make us insecure kind of things which we wouldnt be willing to risk let happen.

It can be anykind and to any extent but with everything there is the chance of being hurt in return. Thats the biggest risk we face all the time with everyone.

Hence the open ended question of " Risk " !!!!!!!

My personal history has shown that I am quite willing to risk. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, even when my gut instinct is screaming at me LOOK OUT, GET AWAY!

I don't listen. I rationalize, I tell myself....You're overreacting, don't get caught up in your fears and insecurities Then I end up kicking myself later, because as it turns out gut instinct is put there for a reason.

So, I guess I'm a risky mickey fickeydunno

I have made a promise to myself, however, to be extremely selective in choosing my next long term relationship....for my daughter's sake.

Me too have had enough of risks.. gut instinct is the way to go.. I wouldn't be too fickle though.. being too fickle I reckon is sourced purely from insecurity... wave

Totally agree that being fickle is a reflection of insecurity. But life without risks is dull, mundane, routine, rut...

Gut instincts can be fun too.. u know when u get that feeling in the pit of ur stomach that something just feels right smitten grin

By risks I means trying to take a sledgehammer and knock a large sphere into a square hole... I have made compromises in the past in the hope that things would miraculously 'work'... doesn't happen that way.. not in my experience anyway cheers
