I live with a Canadian right now. In his humble opinion, he is more tolerant and finds our politics amusing but still incredibly unbelievable. He knows...he works for the government how they work. We are bretheren...

Hi Lene,
It is quite sad the way things are right now. Unfortunately Canadian politicians do have their lips wrapped around the appendages of Ameriacn politicians and moreso their corporate leaders.
There are a number of other countries that also follow suit and I've been wondering for years if there is some truth to the conspiracy theories about the "new world order" and "world government".
It's not the people I'm against, it's the corruption and the leadership. That isn't so much an American/Canadian problem as it is a world problem now. We're all in this together.

I love Canada. I see it as a "cousin" nation. We have our own differences bit we are kin...We have the same backgrounds for most part and tend to think more common than most others countries. We have worked toigether as countries, side by side, for generations and you really never hear of a squabble against us. All I have to say is don't follow America into it's own demise. If there were any other people that I thought would help us is the Canadians. I think Canadians and Americans really do have a special relationship.

Yup..that is the way I see it too is the Canadian government seems to follow suit to the US. Hopefully, they will not follow the snakes into the sinkhole!

I feel very sad for my country. I have roots all the back as early 1600's and even farther back in native ancenstry. My dad's side came over in the early-mid 1800's. They entered from Ellis Island.

I had many ancestors fight for this country throught the eras. My ancestors that first came over fought and died for this land. Even one was a Lt. in the "King Phillips Indian War". I have has members of my family in the revolutionary War, Civil War...Underground Railroad. My father served in WW2. He died with all military honors as well as many friends..young and old.

The brother of my line of family still is prominent in the tobacco industry..lol. Ben Franklin's father rented land from my forefather and Ben was born there and moved when my forefather died. This is only a beginning of my mother's side.

My father's side? Danish (About 1/4), Bohemian(About 1/4), austrian, polish..etc..The ALL came legally through Ellis Island....LEGALLY.

It seems thst Canada enforced it's immigration laws pretty well. I hope the US can learn something from you.

Conspiracy??? My gut says that what we are seing now was actually planned out so some could prosper off it. It has been done before, right?

If people would look into the pasts of who they choose then they would see.

Look into the Bush family and what they are all about. Look into Cheney and his record. Look at who they are all associated with and it is quite clear.

On another note...

Why is the mainstream media more interested to tell you about Brittany Spears crotch than what effects "everybody" and what the people we elect to represent us do. It is like they have NO ACCOUNTABILTY!!!...WHY??????

WEll...Who was Vice President when Reagan was in office? We all know Reagan got Alzheimer's. The second half of his term...everybody else was running the country..not him. It was like too many cooks in the kitchen.

G. Bush was VP. When he was VP, he was brokering deals on the American taxpayers dime for his own gain. He was elected and he did such a good job he didn't get re-elected..lol".Was beat by Bill Clinton ( Not A Clintonite..BTW) and the "regular" people got a break and didn't live so much like there was a noose around their neck.

It is interesting to note that many of the "reagan" era members are associated with the "Carlyle Group, A. K. A. "Haliburton".

If you look at the Bush family as a whole and look into what they were into as well as their siblings and see how they gained from bad things you would wonder too. Even G.W"s siblings have gained off the taxpayers backs...

I wouldn't consider myself a hysterical person nor would I delusional.

I as a young person starting out saw the sighns when Reagan was in office.

I voted against a Bush no matter what. I can honestly say I have a clear conscience..lmao

The think the US government representatives deserve an integruty check. Let the papparazzi go wild and report all the dirt on them with the zeal as they do Brittany Spears and Paris Hilton.

It's been going on since the dawn of time.wink
While the media are distracting the populous with their "reporting", Hollywood and sports are doing their part as well. Keep as many people occupied as possible with entertainment or BS.
It's all there but so few see it for what it is. Sad state of affairs.

You know what? It would seem that way, wouldn't it? To say it is or isn't is just speculation. ...(The perfect psycholical profile).hmmm

It is amazing though that so many people rely on someone else telling them what is going on. You cannot always shoot the messenger though. They only report what they are told.

The thing I don't get is that even in the schools anymore they are not getting instructed to teach "common sense". You can't just blame them. The way the system is that even in an "average" working family you need both parents working. Usually they have to take different shifts or they depend on a baby sitter and pay the fees.

President Bush tells a single mom with 3 kids, one disables that she is "Uniquely American" and has the gall to ask her, "Do you get any sleep"?

There is NO relating on their part to the average person. These people come from wealth and it is in their blood to obtain wealth. MNeed I say more? I will say though...What is wrong with people whent ehy think wealth deserves an ear just vecause they have the money? They are usually the most crooked kind...lol

I still believe in my Constitution and the people whp penned it.

Lioness,

Thanks for the response. I am glad I asked for clarification as I initially thought you were talking about the GWOT which I believe has been brewing for a long time and I have a lot of respect for some of the things Reagan did and stood for while he was in office.

I don't claim a whole lot of knowledge about the inner workings or financial dealings with the Bush's and haliburton. Each administration since Reagan has had more than their share of corruption, scandal, etc.. It would be nice to see the whole bunch fall by the wayside and start fresh with a relatively unknown. It sickens me each time I watch the BS coming from the 2 major parties and am somewhat frustrated because the only thing I know for sure is who I would not vote for.

Have a good evening/morning
