Study: Too Much Perfume Could Signal Depression.

If you're one those ladies who likes to layer on the perfume, a new study says it could be a sign of depression.

Minn. Man Finds His AWOL Wallaby.

CHAMPLIN, Minn. (AP) - Dave Carlson says the police in this north-metro suburb thought he was joking when he called to report that his wallaby went AWOL. "And then they wanted to know what a wallaby was," he said. "I explained it was like a kangaroo, but smaller."

Rachet, the 1 1/2-year-old wallaby, went missing recently from Carlson's backyard. Carlson believes someone let the animal out of its kennel, so Carlson called the cops.

He then did what any loving pet owner would do: He put missing marsupial fliers up in the neighborhood and posted a lost pet ad on Craigslist that said "LOST KANGAROO."

A day after Rachet disappeared, Champlin police called Carlson with good news: a wallaby had been spotted by a person waiting for a bus near Carlson's house. Eventually, Carlson nabbed Rachet.

"I'm Too Cheap to get Drunk."

A Whitehorse man has won a court challenge of his breathalyzer test, after telling a judge he is too "cheap" to buy enough drinks to be impaired.

In a written decision, territorial court Judge Cunliffe Barnett dismissed impaired driving charges against Thomas Wood, who argued that he could not have consumed enough beer on March 30, 2007, to have had a blood alcohol level above the legal limit of 0.08.

Indian Man Marries Dog.

NEW DELHI - A man in southern India married a female dog in a traditional Hindu ceremony as an attempt to atone for stoning two other dogs to death — an act he believes cursed him — a newspaper reported Tuesday.

It's official: In Austria, a chimp is not a person
Animal rights group had sought personhood for soon-to-be-homeless chimp.
VIENNA, Austria - A chimpanzee cannot be declared a person, Austria's Supreme Court has ruled, activists said Tuesday.

An animal rights group had sought to have the chimp, Matthew Hiasl Pan, declared a person in hopes of gaining guardianship of the animal.

Three Maryland dogs inherit $800,000 estate.
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - They're not as loaded as Leona Helmsley's pooch, but three Maryland canines are plenty rich enough to live high on the dog.

The dogs — named Buckshot, Katie and Obu-Jet — inherited $400,000 and a house in Hagerstown with the death last year of owner Ken Kemper. Altogether, their estate is worth about $800,000.
