Stunning looking, you know the type...tall, dark, blue eyes that you melt into....funny, charismatic...charming...etc. etc etc...sorry guys I know you are about to heave at this point.
Well he asked me out on a date...the catch??
I am 39...he is 25.....
I can't get my head around this...does anyone think I am being silly and giving up an opportunity that could be wonderful because of political correctness?

As far as I know there is no "political correctness" to worry about; this is still Europe right. If there is anything remotely approaching it, it would be if you were 25 and the man 39; that would inflame the political correctness brigades to no end with shouts that he is old enough to be your father...or something...relax and enjoy; one can't gauge maturity on how old a person is! Have fun!!

The problem is what you make it. (these sites have created an age issue.) My parents were married over 50 years and mom was a lot older than Dad and it was until death did they part, here on this plane. Never actually knowing her age because it was not proper to ask a lady her age!!!!!!!!!!!!I married someone much much younger than myself and everyone thought he was older than I. Don't think about age. It is not about age. It is about you and the guy and how you feel. It is definitely not about how someone else feels. Just do not ever think about age again.cheering

My last boy friend was 13 years my junior. I had to teach him about sex.

He had long hair, moved in with me and tried to give me diamonds. It was the diamonds that were wrong. I adored him, until he wanted to get married and my daughter hated his mother.

Take your fun, teach him and leave when it gets serious. He might love you, for the experience. A real man is different, yes?

My wife of fifteen years was way younger than me. Roll the dice. Take a chance, but always know that the universe rolls dice too, and if it doesn't work out...you tried!

laugh Ha Ha.. similar happened to me when I was in London..(was in a relationship though.. so the decision was easy)... don't think its about political correctness really.. think it more about what you are looking for a in a guy/relationship... if its more long term then maybe it wont work(but then maybe it will- my bro married at 25 girl good few years older)...it all depends... on how mature he is and how much you have in common..etc

Just an update...I did not end up going out with him...I kept making excuses...well finding them actually so that tells me I did not feel comfortable about it...ironically he is here again this weekend for a thriathalon but I have surgery so....another avoidance...I was sure he had given up but he still is texting....I don't do desperate or stalking.

and a date would have revealed more. However, if you just feel comfortable about, then just follow your heart. Besides, he could have been a milf hunter....

What would the opposite be I wonder?

Older man stalked by a younger woman I mean?

Or don't things happen that way anymore?

grin
