I am new at this and I finally (after a week) responded to several CS members profiles...I got 2 rejections straight off with the response "I've already found someone else and I am trying to make that work"...That sorta sounds lame (they are still on the CS website...what's up with that?)

some people lilke to stay because of the forums and their friends...

some may say things to let you know they aren't interested and maybe don't want to hurt your feelings...

i had exchanged phone numbers with a guy on here and he told me that he had recieved responses from people and told them he was already involoved with someone because he actually didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings i guess and didn't want to be a player...who knows?????

the best thing i can think of is just to take things with a grain of salt and talk to the people you like and is friendly to you and don't bother about the rest...

There are some great friendships here. You can get so close when you try the honest approach. It is good to be there for others like they have been for you. When you become a friend it works both ways. :)

In my profile I do say I am getting to know someone exclusively. By doing this I am letting others know that I don't want to "play the field" and it allows me to continue posting to the forums due to the friends I have made here without having to hide my profile.

You probably just had an aweful coincedence...although if they dont list it in there profiles that they are with someone, that is wrong..ppl on here..opther than who you see in the forums can be pretty selfish and heartless!
