Lest we not forget, the majority of klansman also highly believe in the people's malitia and treasure their 2nd amendment right as much as their bible. These individuals believe in violence regardless of what they may say to the presses. Violence is a way of life to them. Threats are rarely idle. These are the same guys who believe in their hearts that the south won the civil war and slavery should still be legal.

Not to get off the thread, but if a terrorist is American, does that make him not a terrorist?

Nothing against your post GNDM, I know you're not one of these, but doesn't it scare the hell out of you to live in an area with people like this?

I find it odd too that some seem to think that a Dem is a "shoe in" for president. Personally I don't think he is electable just because of his amnesty policy alone. If he wins the nomination, which is likely then he would be wise to stay as far away from Hillary as possible. IMO she is the kiss of death to anyones political career(save slick Willy's). Now before I get flamed like a pig on a spit, let me say it is NOT because she is a woman. The problem as I see it is two fold wit her. First as much as they deny it and the public denies it, Billy boy would be running the show IMO. Second, she's a virtual lighting rod on nearly every tropic IMO she alienates way too many people often not even realizing it.

Now should Obama get elected? It's almost inevitable that there will be some unrest. Weahter it be from the KKK,the radical right, white supremacy groups and I could go on and on. Maybe there won't be, maybe we will all be invited to a giant camp fire down in D.C. where we can all join hands and sing folk songs. I suppose anything is possible.

trublu: Ok, this was actually pretty much a joke thread to me.
1) Why does everyone refer to him as "black" when he is biracial? Yep, as black as he is white.

2) I sincerely don't think that color is anything that the country would get up in arms about. Maybe the KKK loons, but I really think that would be about it.

3) The ones who would most likely start any kind of trouble would be the Sharptons and Kings and their militant racist attitudes, who would probably think that since the president was black they could be even more racist and hostile than they are now.

4) IF there were an assasination attempt, I believe it would be because of his muslim ties, not his color.

5) Think he is the WORST choice for president because he has already demonstrated his disrespect for our country, demonstrated that his true loyalites are to Africa, not us, I personally have a hard time trusting anyone of the muslim faith after so many "sleepers" that were trained from birth are popping up to go bomb and kill people, and don't believe his "former" drug use any more than Clinton's "I never had sex with that woman".

WHAT MUSLIM TIES?????D'oh!

It probably would if I hadn't grown up around it. The KKK is a way of life for a lot of people in my area. These guys are my neighbors, my uncles, the local men in town, the men in church, the utility repairmen, the deputy sherrifs. Since I grew up around them, I'm used to them. I know what not to say when I'm near them. I know not to be messin' around and trying to protest against them when they have their rallies and marches. I know not to be dating certain men.

To me it's much more scary to think about living in a big city around gangsters and drugs and drive-by shootings. But someone who grew up in a big city would be used to it. I guess we fear less that which we know well.

Lionhearted1967: I think all the front runners are a joke! I don't like Mitt Romney...just another businessman in the office (can't relate to the little guy, just the big boys) although I like his position on no amnesty. Mc Caine, Obama and Clinton cater to illegals so I think they stink too!.. This country is doomed!!!
As far as assination attempts by a Vice president...I find it peculiar that Reagan was targeted for an assasination after 69 days in office and John Hinckleys family were intimate friends with some of the Bush family....lmaoBush Son Had Dinner Plans With Hinckley Brother Before Shooting

The family of the man charged with trying to assassinate President Reagan is acquainted with the family of Vice President George Bush and had made large contributions to his political campaign, the Houston Post reported today. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scott Hinckley, brother of John W. Hinckley Jr., who allegedly shot Reagan, was to have dined tonight in Denver at the home of Neil Bush, one of the vice president's sons.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Neil Bush

The newspaper said in a copyright story, Scott Hinckley, brother of John W. Hinckley Jr., who allegedly shot Reagan, was to have dined tonight in Denver at the home of Neil Bush, one of the vice president's sons.
The newspaper said it was unable to reach Scott Hinckley, vice president of his father's Denver-based firm, Vanderbilt Energy Corp., for comment. Neil Bush lives in Denver, where he works for Standard Oil Co. of Indiana.

In 1978, Neil served as campaign manager for his brother, George W. Bush, the vice president's oldest son, who made an unsuccessful bid for Congress. Neil lived in Lubbock throughout much of 1978, where John Hinckley lived from 1974 through 1980.

On Monday, Neil Bush said he did not know if he had ever met 25-year-old John Hinckley.

From what I know and I've heard, they (the Hinckleys) are a very nice family and have given a lot of money to the Bush campaign."
SHARON BUSH

"I have no idea," he said. "I don't recognize any pictures of him. I just wish I could see a better picture of him.

Sharon Bush, Neil's wife, said Scott Hinckley was coming to their house as a date of a girl friend of hers. "I don't even know the brother. From what I know and I've heard, they (the Hinckleys) are a very nice family and have given a lot of money to the Bush campaign. I understand he was just the renegade brother in the family. They must feel awful," she said.

The dinner was canceled, she added.

George W. Bush said he was unsure whether he had met John W. Hinckley.

ANYTHING to show the Bush Family in a bad light.
Woman, your Hatred for the Bushes has become Pathological!!!!!

As a child, Obama spent four years in Indonesia with his step-father, a non-practicing Muslim, and his mother. Between ages 6 and 8, Obama attended a local Muslim school in Jakarta; after that, he was enrolled in a Roman Catholic school. ....

I wouldn't say that constitutes him as a muslim..

I have to disagree respectfully. True you are still a U.S. citizen and true you still have a say. But how does that give you the right to tell the world to stay out of your(and my) countries business? It doesn't IMO. Maybe the U.S government should adopt your policy and stay out of the worlds business instead, or trying to tell the world how they should act and think. Oh and one last question. Are you saying that you have no opinion on how or what another country does or says about their problems?

Everything is Global now...whatever anyone does effects the rest of the world and people need to talk about it. The less we talk, debate, and discuss the less informed we all are, and no one wins.

They sort of tried in a mosque in Pakistan fairly recently, the resulting body count was quite large.
