I remember when I was trying to chat up a lass I fancied for a while, she turned to me and said 'look, you're a nice guy but I prefer bad boys'. 2 months later I saw her with a peach of a black eye and a broken nose and one boyfriend on his way to the slammer.

Still, as long as shes happy.

Wow...bit of a lesson to be learned there.dropping jaw

I have to believe that "nice guys" don't finish last. Eventually they become the "last" first date of a wonderful woman. JMO.

This is simple, being a former bad boy as you say it I can answer this in one word " excitement " . I will explain, we all search for it but few can explain it. Well i can. Everyone seeks that excitement because it thrills us all. Having chased bad girls I know that is what drives you there.....My profile says reformed bad boy......here is the hardest thing in the world to find, a memeber of the opposite sex that charges us up with that excitement but also has a responsible side, thats as rare as a white bengal tiger..........signed white bengal

I must admit that this thread has maybe not completely reflected my goals on a dating site.

I am not looking to be used, abused, cheated on, tossed aside, etc, etc.

Mr. Santagati's definition of a Bad Boy is not a player or a mysogynist. He says that the Bad Boy is just really a misunderstood creature.

Bad Boy: One who is not worried about what women think, but rather what women are. He is not worried with heart break but confident in his conquests. He is confident with an er of cocky but not an overwhelming ego. He is charming, non-confrontational, and above all intrigued by women of every type.

I hope this helps in understanding.

Let's talk about it again in,say ten Years?

YOU ARE SO ON THE MONEY!!!

Excitement...You don't jump in a race car to go the speed limit, you don't strap on a parachute to go swimming, I don't want to get into a relationship to feel "safe" I can get that feeling by going to church on sunday morning. I want a man who knows how to make my motor run. (I am not talking in a sexual way, but that's always a big ole plus.)

Read what I am looking for in my profile, "someone who can sweep me off my feet, challenge my brain, and tickle my fancy!"

Why do we like bad boys?

Why does the nice guys always finish last?

I can't tell you all the answers but what I do know I read in a book called The Man ual, by Steve Santigati

Came accross it in the book store. Amazing read. Made me laugh until I cried and cry until I was dehydrated.

Bad Boy Steve talks about how girls don't want nice guys, because they don't make a girl "hot," how bad boys are like the wine connoisseur of women, why you love 'em, why you hate 'em, and best of all how to catch and hold 'em there!!!!

You really want to know what I think about these so called bad boys? There would be none if the women would respect themselves as they should; even the worst of the worst would be tamed by love, propriety, and respect ofr their women; and for the rest of them and rest of the time that is why you would have the prostitutes, nothing new about that. rolling eyes

As far as I'm concerned the name says it all..."Bad Boys"....Heartbreakers...Why would anyone who is a "Bad Boy" want to treat you decent?????

Women choose bad boys and then act all surprised when they get treated like crap...HMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!

I would rather not have to analyze and manipulate my s/o into treating me as I should be treated...and as for hanging on...A man should be with you solely because he wants to be...NOT because you have to manipulate him into it!!!!!!!!!!

If that is true, there is nothing wrong with being self-respecting; that does not make him a bad boy laugh

wow! this has gone on forever, show me a man who doesn't some how desire to be a tough guy, or a woman whom does not desire to be a princess, however , we are often sold on the package long before we know the contents, most guys, want a lady in the street and a freak in bed, yes? perhaps like a cologne or perfume does not smell the same on another it's a matter of chemistry , finding the right amounts of bad boy/girl that works in your life, i am not a bad boy (duh!) but yeah , at times i desire that image, oh well such is life, treat em' like crap bad boys , and i'll be there to build them back up:)

When we fall in love we want someone who has the power to break our hearts - but who doesn't

Thay way we are loving right up to the edge.

A bad boy offers excitement - He also offers been unfaithful and maybe lots of other stuff -

Having been a bad boy in my time - I've come to realise - and the pain it brought me , that a glint in the eye is good

It's just best keep there for one person.

It's all a journey : No pain - No gain

In a way : Better the saint - who's been a sinner - than a Saint who's never sinned.
