OUTRAGEOUS: I have a question: Isn't freedom of speech, freedom of religious belief, freedom of almost everything, a big part of the US Constitution?
By law, does the Elected President of the United States of America, has to be Catholic? If so, then, Catholicism trumps freedom of speech and freedom of religious belief, making the whole thing a big lie?
The Constitution of the United States makes no requirement of canidates to have any 'declared' association of faith or religion.
Unlike many governments of the 15th, 16th and 17th century, a
declared faith had to be publically announced to hold office or
position.
The Constitution of the United States is uniquely different from
the other governments of the time in this regard. So no, you
don't have to be Catholic to be President of the United States.
