I believe if they are born or hatched then yes they will be up there, maybe not where the people are but in a place made just for them. Does it not say in the bible that people and animals will live together in harmony.

conversing I sincerely forgot where I heard this from, one of the prophets, but anyway, they said that the animals that live on this earth will not be happy because of their killer instinct, and that we will have new animals, without that instinct...

Cats I Have Had: Cheetah, Molly, Little Girl, Deta, Shady, Meowser, Blumenkrantz, Sammy, Baby Grey, Trace, Nosey Bear, Nikki,

Dogs I have had: Apollo, Kara, Evie, Diamond, Johnny, Ruby, Frankie, Ginger, Dukie Dawg, Flanders, Peaches, Peaches again, Pickles, Henry, Smokey, Pixie,

those are the ones that I can remember off hand........all my pets I have loved, and have lost.....if I see them in Heaven, terrific, if not, well, it's okay, because I gave them a good life here.

You have had a lot of cats and dogs, so you are saying to comfort my daughter I should tell her that she gave him a good life and should be thankful that he is now gone and not in pain anymore. He had leukemia.

comfort no, I'm not saying to tell her anything...you decide what to tell her, you are her mom...I'm just replying to the question asked...Shady had leukemia, I had written that in your thread when you brought the kitty up the first time...I understand what you are going through, just tell her what you believe to be true...hug

I have heard this before, that animals have no souls. If they don't, then neither do we. I have no spouse, no children, but I do have 2 dogs at the moment who I am very close to. I have seen them experience love for each other, and me, hate to anybody intruding in their territory, greed when they both want the same toy, sympathy when I am ailing, happiness when they get to go for a ride, sadness when they don't, anger when I get back after leaving them home (my pants legs all are shredded because of that, lol). When it comes to ESP, animals are so far ahead of us it is unreal. I know that if my pets aren't going to heaven, then I don't want to be there either!

"And the Wolf shall dwell with the Lamb, and the Leopard shall lie down with the Kid; and the Calf and the young Lion and the Fatling together; and a little Child shall lead them. Isaiah 11:6 "

If you believe in that,If you believe in Heaven, shouldn't it be possible then, that Animals will be there too?

Just a Thought.

The story of the "Rainbow Bridge"

When an animal dies, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. The following is the story of the Rainbow Bridge:- RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body begins quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Beautifulsigh thanks sad

And now I better get out of this Thread, before somebody discovers what a Big Softie I really am.smile tip hat

not necessarily, animals were put on this earth for our benefit, to eat, to love etc...That tree in my mom's front yard that fell down this fall certainly won't be in Heaven when I get there, and that tree (Horsechesnut) was loved and appreciated by many.

I wouldn't be so presumptuous to entirely dismiss any of this.
As far as animals are concerned, there are more than simply passing references in the writings of St. Francis that our animals do indeed have souls; not thee same as ours but they do have them; their "essence" . Nor is there any thing in Catholic theology denying that animals do not have souls as such; what St. Francis said, wrote has not been declared a breach of Church theology; it is open for clarification...I haven't met any members of any of the numerous Orders, male or female that really believes that they do not; if anything quite the opposite and in many cases whose works include research on very arcane and esoteric matters, point to all the testimony of those who clinically died and have come back to life; the Near Death Experienced who have described their "crossing over", their surroundings full of lush vegetation, forests, meadows etc. besides all their long earthly deceased friends and family meeting them and of seeing animals...The more accounts of these people one reads, the more the assumed prepositions of the "after-life" is changing, just as the levels of urgency messages for Mankind to change or stop certain things before it is too late as there is implied in those messages "from beyond" that there will be no Divine intervention" no rescues even by "space brothers".
Some have been given messages and visions that clearly imply a parallel existence to our reality; that it exists with all what we have come to love and cherish. It all exists but that we cannot see it; a totally different spectrum that we can't see, detect or have access to until we ourselves "cross over" in another form of Life. Another dimension complete with it's own version of atoms; of Life; of our pets, our trees; you name it . I find it frustrating that this topic is so widespread in so many different bits and pieces in so many different books...there doesn't seem to be a coherent way to amalgamate it all.
