Nah, your post was good, but someone mentioned frozen peas and that was weird enough to top anyone. rolling on the floor laughing

And I am one of the folks who voted for bareback.

Notice it says OR DIE.....not necessarily AND DIE due to risk.

Meaning I'd rather abstain and wait for a long term monogamous relationship with an HIV and STD free person.

Plus, remember at a certain age or after a vasectomy or tubal ligation, condoms are no longer needed to prevent pregnancy.

And that's a real good thing grin

I read that option differently. It says and/or die, suggesting IMO to hell with the risk.

Perhaps you can enlighten us Ambrose?

*And/or*, Arabella. I figured I should keep our resident risk-takers' options open (and realistic).professor wink

As far as STDs, though I haven't had any symptoms, I suspect my body could be riddled with them - a child of 60s and all (one of those non-symptomatic types...courtesy of a killer immune system). One of these days I should have myself tested...but I'm kind of afraid the tests will prove depressing. sad flower heart wings

I saw a number of different possibilities subsumed by the question - including hell-for-leather damn the torpedoes types and more reflective, constrained individuals such as Arabella (whom I'd certainly not wish to run afowl of laugh ). conversing wave rolling eyes

I first became sexually active during the "Make Love, Not War" era, oh so long ago...posters of guns with daisies coming out of the chamber, Woodstock still fresh in our memories, etc. I don't remember ANYONE during that time wearing condoms, which now seems almost unthinkable. Yes, STDs certainly existed, as did teen pregnancies, etc., but it wasn't until HIV and AIDs became a part of our social conscience that condom use became adopted with such frequency (at least, in my memory and experience). Anyway, to answer your post, Ambrose, I have been in the "no glove, no love" camp for quite awhile now. Yes, better without...but peace of mind trumps just getting a piece, in my mind.

Yes, I know, Athens, it's all very prudent and such. sigh I wonder if a glove would be preferable to the sensation of wearing a sock.moping rolling eyes kiss wine

If I lived in africe , I would have no problem just doing without!

It was first claimed that aids came from monkeys.. Not sure what they say now... But The guy that had the monkey is the one that needed a condom!!!

Every time I read your "wearing a sock" bit, I actually get a quick visual and I must tell you, it's not a visual I want to keep in my head! rolling on the floor laughing It begs the question...would you be a crew sock guy or would you be more of a tube sock man???

Exactly, Arabella, exactly (about socks not doing a darn thing, erotically speaking)!

I'd say great minds think alike, but with us, J, it's perhaps more a case of "birds of a feather stick together." confused blushing laugh heart wings

Well, Athens, let's put it this way - not to give away anything, of course - but my brother recently criticized my fashion taste because my socks tend to reach up to the neighborhood of my knees...confused blushing wine
