I am new here. I would be interested to hear the views of the members here on re-location. Would you be willing to re-locate to a new country for someone you love, or have a person move to your town/city?

I ask because I have noticed a lot of women on this site want men who live within driving (bus) distance of them. While I understand this is them trying to be realistic and wanting the familiar things they are comfortable with.

But, whatever happened to the adventure of finding new people from interesting locations with a different outlook on life? I would have thought the world wide web would have encouraged international relationships. But sadly I find most women do not want to remove the comfortable shoes of the familiar.

I may be wrong but I don't think there are many women willing to move or have a man move to them?
for love definiely, for a courtship well othr factors would hav to be considered.
Who should be he one to relocate, or fro that matter make the first trip...how would you decide this?

Seriously, I had one come to visit (not from CS site) and well, it was'nt love that brought her here, and it was force and cunning that got her out after 30 days. I heard she working at one of the casino's in town now.

I am impressed by the number of ppeople here who do take these trips to meet each other.... maybe it is I who am missing out on something good.....but that's another thread ain't itlaugh

just an opinion

In the 24 years since I "officially left home", I have only lived in the UK for about 7 years. Cant stand the place.

I have "relocated" for love once back to the Uk and I suffered for it.
It was 5 years of purgatory.

I love relocating, and then making new friends, new loves, and with it comes new experiences.

I bought myself a caravan, and I am in the luxurious position of not having to work for a year. So I thought I would try and learn German. This would then open up a whole heap more people to experience.

Life is really that good.

But women, as a generalization (I am sorry if this is incorrect for you, but I speak as I find)like to have stability and will relocate for a loved one, but if there is near stability in the location they are heading for, then it is much better for them. The transition is easier.

Often, I think men are more willing then women because a lot of women worry about being stranded somewhere if things don't work out.

I have relocated a few times throughout the states for many different reasons, and yes even for Love. I dream of seeing the world, or at least every state in the US, with the exception of Hawaii, no desire to go there. I love to be adventurous, and I don't get scared real easy. I usually make friends easily, so I have never worried about getting lonely. I would personally love it if I found the perfect man for me in either Alaska or Northern BC Canada... or somewhere else that has those type of temps, and beauty. I know it is a very difficult order though, because I think if I find him, we will need to meet a few times, to make sure it is real before I will do it again, that far away anyway.

I don't know if re-locating for "any one person" would be my ultimate reason...it may play a part in it, because as much as i do try to "stay close to home" with the people i meet...well...even the best laid plans....

However, sometimes i think of relocating, but moreso because it would be a change of pace, a new beginning so to speak, new surroundings...reasons such as that...

But then again, having someone in my life may make even my old surroundings appear new, because it would be seen through different eyes...

so i guess my answer would be...ummm...i don't have an answersigh

I live on an acreage near the centre of Btitish Columbia. I have 5 kids and 7 grandchildren (so far). I'm centrally located among them.

I'm seeking a partner for mutual life enhancement, not disruption.

I would move if i had the financial means to visit my kids and grandkids often and if there were life enhancement crteria being met as a resuly of my move.

Love...would do anything for it, possibly even move.....

love

Hey,
I moved 1400 kilometers for a woman once (ended up with alimony and two kids.. and a sun tan)

Distance does not matter.... culture is the key.
