Clique is the noise made by a pair of killer heels moving along the marble floor of a well appointed mall.

in the beginning.... there where few dating sites with forums and free services.
saturation on the internet of a good idea has a lot to do with what is occuring.

In real life if someone voices there opinion and has not the ability to listen to others then hell yeah I avoid them....I may sing in the shower but I sure am not gonna waste my breath or typing skills talking to a wall.
.

I think many misuse the forums those that just idly chat back and forth amoungst a group of 2 to 3 should use the chat room. I 'll admit reading pages on pages of "hey girl where ya been" or "did you get that bad weather" on a thread which was started to discuss ideas on plolitical reform, or dating do's and don'ts

Many threads have a subject title yet they are reduced to gab fest where the posters are not even contributing to the main subject of the topic.

We have been given by CS the ability to IM E-mail and even a chat room yet by reading some posts I would have to say these othr avenues are not being used.

Complaining can be a good thing... blaming rarely is. humor directly towards the subject matter of a topic can inspire and bring more responses even to the most eserious of threads. all speakers use humor in some fashion... but blamiong and name calling and accusations are for the school playground and it reveals more than all the other opinions one has.

When all forum attendees start using the forums to voice an opinion and why they have that opinion the quality of the forums will improve..so will the ability to understand each other more clearly. ( I too am guilty of this very thing)

thats my two cents.. .which by its length alone amounts to much more than than a soundbyte or something that should be in a chat room.

I agree with absolutely everything you say Mindfful but as far as I can see its a positive thing in a way as it really shows everyones true colours. Ive had some welcome narrow escapes by watching the forums. Someone can talk to you and send the sweetest emails then attack people or be abusive in the forums. Thats when I think 'phew' and run a mile lol

OMG hiii Summerwave
sorry i missed you

i just wonder why a first post by a member to this thread was
'removed by moderator'

yeah fire-i agree-i think we are saying the same thing
i dont understand why two people
hogging bandwidth cooing is even allowed
but i am a guest here and dont scold people publically
or name call-my primary concern other than
enlarging my 'social interaction' is that we gain in numbers
in forums...

i love the conversation and debate-its so tiresome for me
to be characterized as arrogant or whatever simply for
engaging or attempting to-in conversation-

There is an old saying "People are People" This place is no exception to that. Hey if it's fun I hang around for a while, if it's not, I have a life other than this place.

well the Z's agree, thats good enuf for melaugh

as far as the comment made about ppl taking themselves too seriously...i am not serious i am settled in what ive come to believe
and try to share it on the topic at hand in a clear way
i thot the definition of forum is an agreement among parties present to share their view and listen to views.

id rather be interacting with people passionate and mature
about their feelings and convictions than people who
get miffed if someone does not agree with them.

i dont take things seriously, but i do find the opportunity for
real discussion to be a delicious temptation.

as well as i enjoy humourous interaction.

i see myself as a well rounded person and conversationalist.
some dont-
oh

well...

thank goodness i dont base my self image of others' perception.
especially those who refuse to accept my explanation and prefer to cling to their impressions of what i said-thats a choice i guess

confused
