He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected, whereby the Legislative Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:

For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

Funny the only ones I have seen make fun of anyone on this thread are the self-proclaimed Christians......When you can back your arguments up with fact and not ridicule...they might make some sense!!!!!!!!!

Ok I admit it
I am making fun of Goose.
1. because it's so easy
2. Because he is arrogant
3. because it's ok to have a little fun on the threads, lighten the mood
4. He is intolerant

Facts are good, but it does not all have to be about facts, Some like to express an opinion, and have it be taken as just an opinion, not an attack. Not everyone cares to play by the same rules, especially when they get changed on a whim.
Most of the folks here are pretty good natured and can take a little abuse, some think they own the site and try to dominate others. Why?

My opinion never changed once and I backed it up with fact to support what I was saying all along...and I just don't think if you're calling yourselves Christians that it should resort to making fun of people...I didn't see anyone else doing it...Yes people are allowed opinions but don't tell the ones they are wrong when the facts say differently...Isn't that what healthy debate is all about???? The last ime I looked I didn't see it include ridicule!!!!!!!!!!!


I'll tell ya the things that went on in this thread are the very reasons I don't follow organized religion...Let's preach to someone else...yet not follow a word of it!!!!!!!!!!

First off I have stated a few times I am not a Christian! I have stated I am not so sure I believe in God. But I do believe in human rights!
And it just seems to me that some people think that if someone believes in something it infringes on there rights so lets rewrite the constatuion and take take away there rights. So I can have what I want!

I'm talking about the fact that they belong in a courthouse..not the fact that god or the 10 commandments have valdity....sure all people have religious rights...BUT that's not the point of this debate...the point is that religon does not belong in a courthouse unless they are all represented and there is a definite seperation of church and state as defined by the first ammendment of your owm constitution....The government administers the justice system and law has no religion...so I see no validity to the argument....Everyone has personal rights and protections yes...but not above and beyond what is already set out in the Constitution....wine

Again I never claimed to be a Christian! just the opposite!
And some of the facts that had been shown here have been taken from a revised , alterd not the original documents. I posted original and as Gnome and I pointed out in our fun time God was mentioned at least twice as being accepted and in part of our history.
Some one else had also posted the very truths of our declaration word for word as they were written, also in defence of the right to keep the 10 comandments But you non Christians seem to want to ignore what you cant argue! and just keep going with what you started with. And Goose went so far as to rewrite the constitution in in his own way. what does that do? nothing but make fun of our forefathers who died giving us our freedoms. so who didn't make fun?

And I will say one more time, you can take the comandments off the wall but you can not take them from the heart of someone who believes in them. it is not a case of out of site out of mind.
And wether it came from man or God the very first laws were asablished from religion. So I would think God or no, Law was religiously founded.
