I gave the origins of U.S. law and saw no religion enter into it....and nobody ever talked about taking anything out of the hearts of anyone...the whole thing hinges on all religions being equal and the seperation of church and state under your own Constitution....wine

And this seems to be the reason I have to right books everytime I post.

you want the 10 comandments out of the court because they don't belong in court, but if a judge (and most do ) believe in the 10 c taking them from the wall removes them from the wall but it will never remove them from the room. And just because a judge displays them or has them in his heart it does not mean he is basing your case on them! But if that scares you that he might believe and you need him removed from the bench too, then you are taking away his right to have his faith. And if your going to do that then there is no law anyway that we have to abide by.
This country has allowed any and all religions be practiced and demonstrated.
Heck the even let them have parades!

If you read the story...it wasn't because he put them on the wall...it was because he went into the courthouse and had a monument erected....after refusing to put them with other old documents that reflected the origins of law....In doing so he broke the law and that's why he as removed from the bench...

Go back a few stories and read the story of what went on....wine

And tryandcathcme looks around and see's it is the 2 of us.
A couple of die hards arnt we?
I do understand that, and yes for the original reason this thread was oppend I see both sides. I beleive he went about it all the wrong way.
But thru out this whole thing people have said things in defence of de benching the judge. And they started quoting rights bla bla bla, One and the truth is there is a lot more here then the few starting lines to this thread.
Believe it or not I am not a fighter, I woud rather just kick back. I do not believe in any one true God. I do respect the right of the others who do. I also respect the right of the ones who don't and that of all the other beliefs.
I also believe that unless these comandments have phsyically hurt or mentally for that matter they did not infringe on anything.
How it came about may be wrong. But it sets yet another presidence that will eventually eliminate even more.
And that will continue until they reach a point that it is all to clear in our contitution, the bill of rights, and so that they can take away more they will alter once again a document that was not ment to be alterd.
Some day that document will read exactly what Goose wrote and that scares the crap out me!
While part of it is very good, there is other parts written that would give us the right to control or try to control the world. And that is so not right!
