I've read something somewhere- and I think I agree: Men and women
each have a list of "needs" which we consider totally important in a relationship- the list may vary, but they are basically the same, but in a different order. When these needs are not met, that is when a partner strays. i.e: for men sex is usually on, or near the top of the list- (for women, its maybe 3 or 4). If this need is not met, its likely he'll stray. For women, conversation, security, closeness, may near the top. And when these needs are not met its likely she'll stray. Now of course everyone has different needs, but thats the basic idea. In my experience, I would have to say its about correct. So the idea is, that if we can be more aware of our partners needs- without being obsessive about it of course, this may lessen, if not eliminate the occurence of cheating. Just a thought....
