I think I screwd up

If a bully chases a person, they should never corner them. If they corner them, out of fear they will hurt or even kill a bully when cornered.

The same thing is true to a degree, when cornered a person will blow up and hurt or kill a freindship. The person that corners someone being chased is to blame for the cornering. So don't kick yourself to bad......caring sometimes makes another push too hard even though they know they should stop......it is a compulsion of affection.

I see your point. However the fact remains I should have handled things better. But thanks!

It is lesson we all learn by making the same mistake. Just like tripping over a tree root. We can only learn to be more careful next time. So don't be too hard on yourself. That seems to be another common mistake we make. Give it time, she is hurt, but your special to her. She will be back and the two of you will patch it up. It's hard to know you hurt such a good friend. But a funny thing is........it will make a better freindship in the long run.

and lost a dear friend. This lady used to work for me and we remaind friens after she left the company. For the last six months or so she's been insinuating that I have a thing for her in a jokeing manner. But she's been doing it everyday and its started getting on my nerves. So she came over for supper last nite and after we were watching a movie when she implied that I wanted her.

I don't know why but I snaped. I told her "look I'm just not into you, your not my type and never will be. So get that strait!

She abruptly left and now won't take my calls.

advice please.

Maybe she was hoping you had a thing for her.
Give her some time and then try talking to her again.
Hopefully you have not lost a good friend.
And you never know, sometimes thats the start of a really great relationship.

dunno
Good luck

well, you aren't talking about a woman or a man....technically what you are talking about is obsession.....everything he said screams it, and there is no logic to it.

Good luck to you, once you get through it, whatever the outcome, you will understand a bit more about people and about yourself....teddy bear

Good luck

There's a lot I don't know. But I am sure that beyond friendship there will be no relationship. I love her to death as my friend but there's never going to be more.

I don't think obsession is correct but thanks for the kind words.

Just to let everyone know, my friend and I said our final goodbyes as she decided to move back to Texas. I heard nothing from her until last Thursday when she called wanting to have lunch. Wanted to apologies for her feelings and the way things turned out. And to say goodbye.

Thanks for all your support, kind words and input.
